Repair A Kohler Coralais Faucet

Kohler Coralais repairs can be done on your own.

The Coralais faucet is one of Kohler's higher-end models. Its single handle design gives it a clean slim look. But, the cartridge within the faucet will wear out, causing inconsistent water temperature or water leakage from the body of the faucet. You can find replacement Kohler cartridges at most local home improvement retailers, and do this repair on your own.

Instructions

1. Close both the hot and cold water shut-off valves beneath the sink.

2. Remove the decorative Kohler cap on the front of the faucet handle.

3. Loosen the Allen nut that sits behind the cap. Once the nut is removed, the handle can be taken off.

4. Unscrew the ring sitting beneath the handle. This piece will unscrew by hand.

5. Pull the defective cartridge out with a pair of pliers.

6. Set the new replacement Kohler cartridge into the body of the faucet.

7. Thread the ring back onto the faucet, locking the stem in place.

8. Set the handle back onto the faucet and tighten the Allen nut. Snap the decorative Kohler cap back into place.

9. Turn on the faucet and ensure it is working properly.
