Things to do on a first date in vancouver

Things to do on a first date in vancouver

It's interesting:
"This wedding really couldn't come at a better time for anyone. Gary will probably be bald by this time next year. And Annabelle's just found out that ..."

Finding that perfect place to meet during a first date is often a stressful endeavor. Many times a romantic dinner seems a bit to forward, while simply getting a cup of coffee often is a bit too informal. For singles living in and near Vancouver, there are a number of perfect first date options from cultural centers to outdoor parks.

Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Vancouver Art Gallery

    • Perfect for a casual first date, the Vancouver Art Gallery keeps the afternoon moving with thousands of art pieces to ponder and talk about. The gallery offers a wide range of art styles from contemporary to classical along a broad range of themes including African American history to social and political reflections. The permanent collection includes paintings and photography from local and regional artists, which focus on the history and culture of British Columbia.

The gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Mondays and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The gallery features discounted admission for both seniors and students.

The Stanley Park Seawall offers the perfect walk or bike ride, while many visitors experience the lush gardens including the Ted and Mary Greig Rhododendron garden. If the first date includes a casual bite to eat, the park has that covered with the Prospect Point Café-, which features sit-down service or sandwiches to go for a picnic. The park is also home to a number of local artists with their works on display, an outdoor theater complex and a variety of sports activities such as tennis, pitch-and-putt golf and lawn bowling.
