Liftmaster 2000sdr Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting steps may help you garage door run properly.


A garage door opener is both convenient and secure. The Lift-Master 200SDR Allows you to open you garage door from your vehicle, giving you a safe dry place to park your vehicles. The Lift-Master is manufactured by The Chamberlain Group and come with a one-year limited warranty. If you garage door is not functioning properly, try some troubleshooting steps before contacting the manufacturer for replacement or repair.


Instructions


Door Not Opening


1. Check the electrical outlet that opening assembly is attached to. Unplug the opener from the wall outlet. Plug in an electrical component such as a lamp into the outlet. Test the component to see if it will turn on. If the component does not turn on, check your electrical circuit breaker box to see is the outlet has been tripped. Return the circuit to the On position. Plug the opener back into the outlet and test.


2. Turn on any wall switches that may control the electrical outlet the opener is plugged into.


3. Disengage any locks or ropes that may be hindering the door's operation.


4. Check the seal of the door to make sure there is no ice or snow build-up that would prevent the door from opening.


5. Check the garage door spring; if this has broken it will need to be replaced.


Remote Control Not Operating


6. Check the wall mounted door opener panel. If the light is flashing, press the Lock button to unlock the opener. Test the remote control.


7. Close the garage door using the wall mounted panel.


8. Press and hold the large opener button on the remote control.


9. Press and hold the light button on the wall-mounted door opener.


10. Press and hold the opener button on the wall-mounted panel.


11. Release all three buttons when the garage door opener light flashes. Test the remote control.


12. Replace the battery in the remote control if the troubleshooting steps have not rectified the problem.


Door Will Not Close


13. Check the safety sensors located at the bottom of the garage door track.


14. Remove any debris, equipment or other items from the path between the sensors located on both the left and right side of the door.


15. Adjust the sensors so that the sensors are pointing at each other and are level.
