How to visit mystic aquarium

visit mystic aquarium

It's interesting:
"Since meeting Linda, I've seen terrific changes in Paul. He seems much more confident these days. He's surer of what he wants. He's happier, and he's much more willing to bend these days, too. Although he’s still adamant that Arsenal will win the next seasons Champions League."

Nestled in the picturesque New England countryside is the wonderful town of Mystic, Connecticut. At one time, a bustling fishing village, it now relies on the steady traffic of tourism for its commerce. Their aquarium is one of the finest in the country. So if you're escaping to New England and you or the kids love sea life, you must visit Mystic Aquarium.

Instructions

    • 1

Check out their website at mysticaquarium.org. There you will find up to the minute information on their exhibits, 3D theater, Beluga Whale show and more. Not to mention, if you are serious about sea life, you can become a member of the aquarium by filling out a quick form. (Different fee structures vary, however, some come with admission.) Viewing the website is truly the first step to experiencing the wonders of Mystic Aquarium.

Get you and your family there. Mystic Aquarium is found easily, off Interstate-95 in Connecticut just before the Rhode Island border. Their website offers specific directions from your location, but Mystic can be accessed through either exit 89 or 90. If you are traveling from afar, Amtrak railroad stops in Mystic. From there it is a short $10 cab ride. If you are flying into the area, T.F. Green Airport, located outside of Providence, Rhode Island is your closest bet. If you are going to stay in the area, there is no shortage of hotels. Just visit expedia.com or hotels.com for more details.

Participate in special events. Mystic Aquarium is not just confined to its building. They are constantly performing projects on Long Island Sound, which you and your family can experience. Check out their special events calendar on their website, and plan your trip around an event. It will take your trip to a whole new experience.

Go to Mystic Aquarium and enjoy the day. Truthfully, Mystic Aquarium is a day trip that can be combined with other site-seeing ventures in the area (check out Mystic Seaport.) But don't just let your experience stop at merely walking through the aquarium. See the shows. Witness the Dolphin show (as good if not better than Shamoo and Sea World) and check out the penguins and the fabulous recently added bird exhibit.

Tips &- Warnings

  • Rent out the facility. It is very affordable and seriously impressive for a school dance, corporate event or family function. They even hold birthday parties there where children can actually touch, play and learn about real sea life. Inquire on their website.
