Diy wedding reception centerpiece with one white orchid

Diy wedding reception centerpiece with one white orchid

It's interesting:
"I can’t imagine a happier way to start married life than in this wonderful venue with all their family and friends around them. Ok, so I can – but it would have to be an exceptionally big Jacuzzi."

A single white orchid can make a simple, elegant and graceful statement as the centerpiece for tables at a wedding reception. Creating an ideal centerpiece using a single flower can be done by combining your white orchid with other design elements and colors that enhance its natural elegance and beauty.

Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Vase
  • Orchid
  • Ribbon
  • Baby's breath
  • Scissors

Instructions

    • 1

Select a tall, slender vase that will emphasize the delicacy of your orchid. In terms of colors, the vase should be either white or one of the colors in your wedding theme. Vases with patterns will also work, so long as the pattern matches the theme of your wedding. Do not use a clear vase, as you do not want to draw attention to the stem and water surrounding your centerpiece.

    • 2

Insert the orchid in your vase. If you would like to use other flowers, such as baby's breath, you should cut the stems of the flowers so that they will be shorter than the stem of your orchid. Cut the stems so that the flowers are of different heights. If you are not adding other flowers, you should cut the orchid's stem so that the bottom of your flower is close to the lip of your vase. This will make the centerpiece appear more compact and full.

    • 3

Place any other flowers into the vase, and arrange them into a type of pyramid, so the orchid is the tallest flower and draws the eye more than any of the other flowers.

    • 4

Tie a ribbon around the neck of the vase, directly below the lip, if you so desire. Use a ribbon that matches your wedding theme.
