Bridal gown games

Bridal gown games

It's interesting:
"I know it's Catherine and Stuart's wedding day, but all week I've only been thinking about what might have been … We were this close to a British ..."

A bridal shower is a gathering of friends and family before the wedding meant to bestow presents on the bride and groom. It is also a perfect opportunity to bond through crazy shower games and create lasting memories for everyone. A bride's gown is an iconic part of the wedding. There are many active shower games that center on the wedding gown. Be sure you have cameras ready to record the action.

  1. Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Game

    • Design a wedding dress out of toilet paper.

One of the most popular bridal shower games is the toilet paper wedding dress game. Purchase rolls of white toilet paper before the shower. Divide the guests into teams giving each team several rolls of toilet paper. Have each team choose a model, then design a wedding dress on the model out of the toilet paper. They can accessorize the dress with flowers, veil, shoes, whatever, as long as it is made of toilet paper. Be sure to take many pictures of the process as well as the finished product. The bride determines the game winner, but everyone gets great memories.

Pin the Veil on the Bride

    • Start with a blown-up picture of the bride in her wedding dress.

A grown-up version of pin the tail on the donkey, pin the veil on the bride starts with a blown-up picture of the bride in her wedding dress. Cut out the veil out of the picture. If you wish, you can even embellish it with a little netting. Blindfold guests one at a time and mark their name where they pin the veil. Whoever pins the veil closest to the right spot, wins.

    Newspaper Wedding Gown

    • Give each team a pair of scissors, tape and a stack of newspapers.

Divide guests into teams. Each team will design and make one part of the wedding dress (bodice, train, sleeve, skirt, etc.). Give each team a pair of scissors, tape and a large stack of newspapers. The bride will model the finished dress over her clothes and pose for a picture. You'll be surprised how creative guests can be.

    Wedding Dress Game

    • Find the wedding bands.

Upon arriving to the shower, pin a pre-purchased handmade wedding gown on the shoulder of each guest. Late in the shower announce that one of the dresses contains a set of wedding bands. Each guest will open the back of the gown to find out who has the rings and wins this game. Everyone gets to keep their wedding gown as a favor.
