Couples planning their weddings in New York City have a multitude of options. Couples can choose between wedding halls in Manhattan and some just as nice, but not as expensive, in the outer boroughs such as Brooklyn and Queens. Couples will have several personal factors to consider when choosing a hall. A few ideas could send you heading in the right direction.

  1. Terrace on the Park

    • Terrace on the Park is located in Queens, New York, at one of the most famous spots in the borough, Flushing Meadows Park. Home to the U.S. Open and the New York Mets, but also to Terrace on the Park, an elegant wedding hall that overlooks the New York City skyline. Outdoor and indoor receptions are available. The ballroom has floor-to-ceiling windows to help ensure that even indoor parties have the wonderful view of Manhattan. The hall has been open for more than 30 years.

    Dyker Beach Golf Course

    • Dyker Beach Golf Course is a New York City-owned golf course in Brooklyn, bordering the Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights neighborhoods. In 2007, the clubhouse was extended and completely renovated to accommodate a brand-new wedding and event hall. The hall is privately owned and can be reserved for weddings. The backdrop is of the golf course and features a tree-lined circular concourse driveway leading to the front doors of the hall. The property features two ballrooms with up to 4,500 square feet of event space and bridal suite.

    The Riviera

    • The Riviera, even though it is not located in Manhattan, is considered one of the gold standards in New York City weddings. The sidewalks, in fact, surrounding the hall actually glitter with gold speckles. Most weddings here must be booked more than one year in advance. It is one of the more popular places to host a New York City wedding. The hall is located just blocks from the world famous Coney Island. They only serve one wedding event at a time and can accommodate indoor and outdoor receptions. The hall features four different atmospheres, including an outdoor garden ideal for photos.

    The Central Park Boathouse

    • The Central Park Boathouse is about as New York City of a wedding you could possibly have. That's because the Central Park Boathouse is located on the northern tip of the park's lake and overlooks the park in every direction. Couples can have their wedding ceremonies in the adjacent Lake Room for an additional fee. The Lake room is an English garden that overlooks the Central Park Lake. Accommodations are smaller here compared to other halls, but can still hold 230 people with room for a dance floor as well. The atmosphere here is elegant, with scenic views of the park and lake while still staying in the heart of Manhattan.
