Wedding chapels near huntsville, texas

It's interesting:
"Normally, an outdoor spring wedding is a risk. Will there be snow? Will it be cold? Will it be hot? Will it rain? Thankfully, today the risk paid off with no precipitation, perfect weather, and a beautiful backdrop to see the union of Paul and Linda."

Huntsville, one of Texas's oldest cities and home of legendary statesman Sam Houston, is in the eastern, Piney Woods region of the state. Residents enjoy a pleasant climate, with average temperatures of 46 degrees in January and 80 degrees in July, which means there are many temperate months from which to pick a wedding date. The Huntsville area offers several wedding venue options that include both chapels and reception facilities.

  1. Heather's Glen

    • Heather's Glen, an outdoor garden and chapel wedding facility, is located in Conroe, about 30 miles south of Huntsville. The chapel features a high ceiling, stained glass window, chandeliers, spiral staircase and backdrop of waterfalls. Also provided is a spacious dressing room with nine-foot mirrors. Nine different packages are available, ranging from "Chapel Ceremony Only," which includes music provided by a DJ, a photographer and other basics for 25 to 100 guests, to "The Royal Couple," with a harpist, catered reception, wedding cake, horse-drawn carriage or limousine service, garden reception, and many other specialty items.

    Bells of Montgomery

    • Bells of Montgomery is about 23 miles from Huntsville in the town of Montgomery. Its wedding chapel, built in 1908, features stained-glass windows throughout. The venue offers 10 customizable wedding and reception packages, starting from a "Historic Wedding Chapel" two-hour event for up to 150 guests, including silk arrangements, a wedding coordinator, traditional music on CD, changing rooms and an hour of rehearsal time. More expensive packages include use of the chapel along with a "Cake & Punch Reception," "Hors d'oeuvers Reception," "Dinner Buffet Reception," and "Hors d'oeuvers & Dinner Reception."

    Ashelynn Manor

    • Ashelynn Manor in Magnolia, 37 miles from Huntsville, features a vintage-style chapel completed in 2008. The chapel seats up to 275 guests and features hand-hewn wooden floors, a front vestibule, candelabras and windows illuminating the aisle. The chapel is also handicapped accessible, with a ramp, wide center row, and shorter pews on the front row to accommodate wheelchairs. There's a spot on the balcony for a videographer, and lighting has been designed to enhance wedding images. There's also a large white house with bridal dressing suites and a groom's cottage for the male members of the wedding party to use. Ashelynn Manor provides customized services and works with a list of preferred vendors. A carriage house is provided for wedding receptions and dinners.

    Shady Oaks

    • About 37 miles south Huntsville in Spring, Texas, the Shady Oaks wedding venue is located on six wooded acres and offers a traditional wedding in its new country chapel. Shady Oaks books only one event at a time and takes care of such services as catered meals, DJ, decorations, wedding cakes and a wedding coordinator. Extra amenities include a horse and carriage, ice sculptures, chocolate fountain, limo service and string quartets. Rental options range from ceremony only, for two hours, to a "deluxe wedding and reception with meal," for 5 ½- hours.
