Things You'll Need
- Small bowl
- Baking soda
- Water
- Microfiber cloth
- Lemon juice or vinegar
Instructions

Put 1/4 cup of baking soda into a small bowl. Gradually add water -- 1/2 tsp. at a time -- until it makes a thick paste.

Dip a corner of the microfiber cloth into the baking soda paste and rub on the cake server in a circular motion until the discoloration fades.

Rinse well under running water. If there is still a discoloration, rub more baking soda paste on the surface and rinse again. Wipe the cake server dry.

Dampen a clean corner of the microfiber cloth with lemon juice or vinegar. Rub the surface of the cake cutter lightly to shine and remove any streaks.
Tips &- Warnings
Stainless steel washed in a dishwasher or with dish-washing liquid can result in rainbow-colored streaking, which can be removed with lemon juice or vinegar in the same manner as above.
Do not soak stainless steel in vinegar or lemon juice, as it can cause discoloring.
