Places to have a wedding in cullman county, alabama

It's interesting:
"'I used your site to create my wedding speech. ... 'Chaps, just got to say a huge thanks for the help your site gave me preparing for my brother's wedding. As best ..."

Cullman County, Alabama, offers wedding ceremony and reception venues less than an hour north of Birmingham. Most of the county's wedding venues are in the county's largest city and county seat, the city of Cullman. But the city isn't the only place to have a wedding. In the western part of the county, outdoor wedding ceremonies often take place on the shores of Lewis Smith Lake.

  1. Terri Pines Country Club

    • The Terri Pines Country Club (tpcountryclub.com) is in northern Cullman, a five-minute drive from the Section Line Road exit on Interstate 65. The main dining room at Terri Pines accommodates 250 guests for wedding ceremonies and banquet-style receptions, according to the website. This room provides views of the country club's fairways and features a stone fireplace. For smaller wedding parties, Terri Pines has a separate dining area with a seating capacity of 50 guests, according to the website. Buffet-style and sit-down catering is also available.

    McGukin Civic Center

    • The McGukin Civic Center (cullmanrecreation.org/civic_center.aspx) is in the heart of downtown Cullman, near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Fifth Street. This center hosts wedding events in its Single Room and Double Room, according to the venue's website. The Single room has a seating capacity of 50, while approximately 100 guests may attend events in the Double Room. The civic center includes the setup of tables and chairs in their rental rates. However, wedding parties must bring their own floral dé-cor and catering.

    Holiday Inn Express Cullman

    • The Holiday Inn Express (hiexpress.com) in Cullman is in the northern area of the city, across the street from Terrace Heights Park. This hotel provides a 1,500-square-foot conference room, which accommodates up to 140 guests for wedding parties and receptions, according to the hotel's website. Holiday Inn Express provides a sound system for live or DJ music, and it provides an events coordinator upon request. No catering is available through the hotel, but wedding parties may hire outside caterers to service their events.

Saint Bernard Abbey Retreat and Conference Center

    • Situated in eastern Cullman, the St. Bernard Abbey (stbernardabbey.com) is a historic Catholic abbey dating back to the early 1890s. This abbey and its property serves as a centerpiece for a retreat and conference center. However, guests do not have to be of Catholic faith to have an event at the Abbey. For wedding ceremonies and receptions, Saint Bernard features three spaces. The largest space, the Fazi-Richard Meeting Room, seats 90 guests, according to the abbey's website. The other two rooms seat 80 and 16 guests, respectively. Saint Bernard also has guest rooms available for out-of-town guests.

    AnchorLight Bed and Breakfast

    • The AnchorLight Bed and Breakfast (anchorlight.net) is a lighthouse-themed lodging option in Crane Hill, Alabama. The bed-and-breakfast is on the eastern shores of Lewis Smith Lake and hosts outdoor weddings overlooking the lake. AnchorLight allows only 30 guests to attend an event at the bed-and-breakfast, according to its website. Wedding parties may rent the bed-and-breakfast's property for only three-hour slots. The bridal party may use AnchorLight's T.S. Fowler Room as a bridal suite. Also, the bed-and-breakfast offers a wedding package that allows honeymooners to stay two nights in a room at the top of AnchorLight's lighthouse structure.
