Places to get married in gatlinburg and pigeon forge, tennessee

It's interesting:
"I'd like to talk about Paul's greatest achievement, which happened today, and that was keeping his suit jacket on throughout the ceremony and resisting what must have been an intense desire to turn up in shorts today. But despite the heat and discomfort, it’s been well worth the effort, for amongst other things, the wet patch down the length of his left leg can be passed off as sweat."

The Great Smoky Mountains in eastern Tennessee offer a tranquil, forested landscape that serves as a beautiful background for a wedding ceremony. Two of the Great Smokies' tourist cities, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, provide an ample selection of wedding chapels where you can conduct your ceremony. Many of these chapels also offer other marriage-related services, including a wedding coordinator, reception facilities, photos and lodging for the wedding guests and honeymooners.

  1. Chapel at the Park

    • The Chapel at the Park in eastern Gatlinburg is right off U.S. Highway 321, approximately five minutes from the downtown area, and is surrounded by a forest of dogwood trees and rhododendron flowers. This chapel offers indoor wedding facilities that can accommodate up to 50 people. Wedding photos can be taken in the chapels outdoor garden area, which features paved walking paths and a white gazebo- a photographer can be hired by the chapel upon request. Outdoor wedding ceremonies are also available in an enclave area that has stone walkways and wooden benches. The outdoor wedding area can host 70 people. Chapel at the Park also provides on-site honeymoon lodging, which has one bedroom, a kitchen and a living room with fireplace.

    Wedding Bell Chapel

    • Situated in the heart of Pigeon Forge, the Wedding Bell Chapel offers a log cabin-style chapel with stone walls and park benches for up to 20 wedding guests. The chapel also provides outdoor ceremonies in its garden, which is surrounded by trees and water fountains. Wedding photos can be taken by the chapel's on-staff photographer. Rentals are available from Wedding Bell Chapel for bride dresses and tuxedos for the groom. The chapel can also arrange for a minister to conduct the ceremony in the privacy of your own cabin. Although no cabins are on the chapel's property, lodging arrangements can be made by Wedding Bell Chapel.

    Chalet Mountain Wedding Chapel

    • Chalet Mountain Wedding Chapel is in western Gatlinburg, and is nestled on the side of a hill. Wedding packages include an ordained minister, indoor candlelight wedding, DVD recording of the ceremony from three camera angles, traditional music and wedding photos. A staircase descends into the hillside from the chapel to a gazebo that offers opportunities for wedding pictures with the Great Smoky Mountains as your background. The legs of the gazebo are hidden from view, which makes it appear to be on top of the surrounding trees. Receptions can be hosted in the Reception Hall, which accommodates 35 people, or the chapel's courtyard area, which features flowers, a stone staircase and wooden walkways.

    Angel's View Wedding Chapel

    • The Angel's View Chapel in Pigeon Forge is a log-cabin style chapel with a tall ceiling, wooden pews and stained glass windows. The chapel also has a window in the back of the chapel, so the couple can have a view of the mountains during the ceremony. Vows can also be exchanged in the chapel's stone turret structure, which is adjacent to the main chapel building. Wedding photos can be taken with mountains in the background or on the chapel's Cinderella-style carriage. Limousine transportation is also available for honeymooners, who can ride from the chapel to their accommodations. Log cabin rentals in Pigeon Forge or nearby Gatlinburg can be arranged by the chapel. The chapel also has an on-site hair salon for the bride and bridesmaids. Massages, pedicures and manicures are provided as well.
