How to make your own wine label in temecula

make your own wine label in temecula

It's interesting:
"Best man speech writing put this challenge into sharp relief: You are not a professional comedian (at least we don't think you are), but everyone at that wedding ..."

Temecula is home to one of California's burgeoning wine-producing areas. Both small and large wine operations can be found across the city. These wineries offer tastings, tours and events throughout the year. Customized labels are among the most crowd-pleasing items that some Temecula wineries offer. Your personal pictures, emblem and personalized text can be printed on a wine bottle. These labels are popular as gifts and for anniversaries, birthdays and weddings.

Things You'll Need

  • Photo or label concept
  • Winery

Instructions

    • 1

Call up the winery you want to visit in advance to make sure they customize wine labels. While customization is popular, not every winery does it (especially not the smaller ones). Visit the "temeculawines" website (see Resources) to find the contact information for all wineries in Temecula.

    • 2

Tell the winery exactly what you want over the phone. You need to determine if your idea for a customized label is feasible with the equipment the winery has. For example, some wineries may not be able to print photos on the label. Doing this will save you the headache of driving down to a Temecula winery only to find out that your custom label cannot be made.

    • 3

Drive down to the winery and ask for an employee to help you with customized labels. Not every employee will be able to help you with the labels, especially the ones busy in the tasting rooms (these can get very busy during the weekends). Try to talk to an employee at a register or find a supervisor/manager for the quickest response.

    • 4

Turn in your photographs and text that you want to appear on the label. Your labels should be ready in about 2 weeks.

Tips &- Warnings

  • You might be able to email your customized label ideas to the winery. Ask the winery if this is an option. This will save you at least one trip to Temecula.

  • You will most likely have to purchase one case of wine (12 bottles) with your customized labels. Be prepared to pay for an entire case and make sure you are buying a wine you enjoy, since you will have a fair amount of bottles on hand.
