If a close friend or family member is getting married, you'll not only want to pick a pretty, ornate gift card but you'll also want to write a heartfelt message inside to communicate how happy you are for the couple. It may be difficult to convey your feelings and come up with the right words. You'll want to congratulate them on their marriage and wish them well in the future, but you don't want to sound cheesy. A little bit of planning and brainstorming at the outset can help ensure that your wishes will be well received, and not soon forgotten.

1. Simple Statements

   • Start off the card by simply saying "congratulations," and tell the couple that you wish them all the best in the future.    • If you're unable to attend the wedding but are sending a card and gift, mention in the card that you regret not being able to attend the couple's special day.
