How to design wedding furniture

design wedding furniture

It's interesting:
"Linda and I first met about 18 months ago, when it quickly became clear to me that here was a woman of many attributes - beauty, brains, wisdom and, fortunately for Paul, a disarming love for dumb animals."

Most women dream of their wedding days their entire life. What they don't dream about, however, is the expensive price tag that is going to come along with it for things ranging from cake to flowers to photographers. Luckily, some of these costs can be cut by either doing things yourself or enlisting friends and family to do them for you. Your wedding furniture need not be left up to the professionals, so use this quick guide for ideas on designing furniture that will perfectly suit your wedding needs and make your big day memorable.

Things You'll Need

  • Satin table covers
  • Satin chair covers
  • Satin sashes
  • Table runners
  • Spray paint

Instructions

    • 1

Cover plain armless chairs with white satin covers to spruce them up and make them look more professional and romantic.

    • 2

Tie large satin sashes around chairs and tie them into a bow in the back. Use accenting colors of the wedding features for the sashes, such as the same light blue that is on the wedding cake or the color of the bridesmaids' dresses.

    • 3

Cover the tables in the reception area with white cloths that match the same white of any other pieces of furniture or chairs.

    • 4

Use table runners that perfectly match the color of the satin sashes tied around the chairs.

    • 5

Spray paint any other furniture, such as small tables for the guestbook and cake, in vibrant, ritzy and romantic colors like gold and silver, or stick with the classic wedding color of pure white.
