Free wedding shower game ideas

It's interesting:
"Sorry if the speeches drag on. Wedding receptions can be a bit like an X Factor results show. You just want to skip through the talky bits to find out ..."

You don't have to spend money to find amusing activities for the guests at a wedding shower. Free games help guests socialize with new acquaintances while strengthening everyone’-s friendship. Offer small prizes to the winners to encourage competition and show gratitude for the guests' participation.

  1. Bride and Groom Trivia

    • Challenge guests to a wedding shower game of trivia based on the bride and groom. Separate guests into groups for a large party or keep the guests working alone for a small party. Ask a variety of questions about the bride and groom as individuals and as a couple. Individual questions might include where the bride and groom were born and what they wanted to be "-when they grew up."- Couple questions could include where the couple met and when they shared their first kiss.

Pin the Kiss on the Bride

    • Alter the basic “-pin the tail of the donkey”- game into a silly wedding shower game. Use a large picture of the soon-to-be-bride with exaggerated lips. Each guest should be blindfolded and spun around before they try to pin a pair of foam lips onto the lips in the picture. Give the winners little chocolates, lip-shaped gummy candies or lip balms.

    Toilet Paper Bride

    • Use a toilet paper bride competition as an wedding shower game that both women and men will enjoy. Split the guests into teams and give them a limited amount of time to create a stunning wedding gown using nothing but toilet paper and tape. Make things even more difficult by getting the burliest male in each group to model the dress. Offer baggies of champagne-flavored jellybeans or bride-shaped chocolate lollipops to the winning team.

    Wedding Bell Pinatas

    • Hang a few wedding bell shaped pinatas to create an active wedding shower game. Fill the pinatas with wedding-themed candy baggies, chewing gum packets, mini lotion bottles, notepaper pads and mini pencils. Blindfold one guest per pinata and let her have a single swing at the wedding bells. Keep the game going until all of the pinatas are broken.

    Wedding Word Scramble

    • Prepare a wedding word scramble game to keep guests occupied until everyone arrives at the shower. Create a 20 by 20 grid. Arrange the letters so that there are at least 10 wedding-related words hidden in the grid. Set the scramble out with small pencils and writing pads. Give a small prize to each guest that finds all of the hidden words.
