Nice places in ontario to get married

Nice places in ontario to get married

It's interesting:
"Since meeting Linda, I've seen terrific changes in Paul. He seems much more confident these days. He's surer of what he wants. He's happier, and he's much more willing to bend these days, too. Although he’s still adamant that Arsenal will win the next seasons Champions League."

From castle-like estates to luxury hotels to outdoor venues that take advantage of the region's natural splendor, you can find many public and private facilities throughout the Canadian province of Ontario that make picture-perfect wedding locations. In many cases, a couple has the option of hosting their ceremony and reception in the same place.

  1. Niagara Falls

    • Niagara Falls is a busy destination wedding location.

The famous Niagara Falls make a spectacular setting for weddings. A popular ceremony site is the Oakes Garden Theatre in the Clifton Hill district, which has the Bridal Veil Falls as a backdrop. Couples can also choose to get married in the chapel at the Marriott Niagara Falls Hotel Fallsviews, which overlooks the falls.

    Lakeside Beaches

    • Niagara Falls is not Ontario's only noteworthy body of water. The region is home to a number of lakes that make picturesque beach wedding locations. At the Chippewa Cottage Resort in Barry's Bay, couples can exchange vows on the shore or on the lawn, which overlooks Lake Kamaniskeg. The Northridge Inn and Resort hosts wedding ceremonies on its Lake Bernard pier, which presents an island backdrop.

    National Historic Sites

    • Couples can rent several National Historic Sites throughout Ontario for weddings, including Ruthven Park, less then three miles north of the town of Cayuga. They also can select marriage in the gazebo on the grounds or in the park's circa 1840 stone Coach House.

The Coach House at Durdun Castle in Hamilton also hosts weddings, as does Parkwood estate in Oshawa. Parkwood's gardens hosts weddings from May through September and the mansion hosts private events from October through April.

    Toronto

    • Toronto offers a wide variety of wedding venues. Among the most sought-after is the Palais Royale Ballroom, a former boathouse and dance hall. The ballroom can accommodate 880 guests for a cocktail event and 330 for a seated dinner with a dance floor, which has a fireplace and overlooks Lake Ontario.

Casa Loma, another choice, is a castle-like historic house and museum in Toronto which can accommodate up to 600 guests in its great hall, library and conservatory.

    Ottawa

    • In Ottawa, the Canadian capital, couples can have an outdoor winter ceremony at Strathmere, a historic rural mansion that hosts weddings year-round. Strathmere offers several ceremony and reception sites, including an1860s inn and renovated century-old barn. Couples can exchange vows outdoors beneath the shade of the 100-year-old walnut trees on the property.

For couples who prefer an urban setting, one option is the Lord Elgin Hotel in downtown Ottawa. It has five banquet rooms to accommodate weddings large and small.
