Duxbury, Massachusetts was founded in 1637 and is located about 35 miles south of Boston. Located on the Duxbury Bay, the small 23 square mile town is home to a vibrant, coastal community. Snug Harbor offers guests a view into the town's history as a shipbuilding haven in the mid-19th century. Today, the town has a few quaint inns and bed and breakfasts that provide guests with quintessential New England charm.

    • The Powder Point Bed and Breakfast was built in 1820 as a ship builder's cottage and is located on a peninsula.     Winsor House Inn

    • The Winsor House Inn is a quaint New England Inn located Duxbury's historic district. The Winsor House was originally built in 1803 as a private residence for members of a prominent Duxbury family, the Winsors. The innkeepers, David and Patricia O'Connell, purchased the home in 1976 and restored it to recapture the home's original warm atmosphere, according to the Inn's website. The Inn offers four bedrooms stocked with fresh flowers and reading materials. The Brown Room offers a queen size canopy bed and private bathroom. The Blue Room features two twin beds that can be converted into a king bed, private bath and a sitting room with a sofa bed. The Green Room offers two canopy twin beds with a private bath down the hall. The Carriage House Suite with a queen size bed and pull out queen sofa. The Carriage House also offers a kitchen for guests saying more than five days. The Winsor House offers breakfast daily to guests and dinner in the dining room or Carriage House.
