How to word a wedding reception card

word a wedding reception card

It's interesting:
"They say that a wedding is a sapling that grows into a mighty tree called marriage . Well ... In a way, the jubilation of today's wedding reminds me of the recent ...""

Weddings can be a memorable and cherished life event. The wedding reception should be a joyous time where you can celebrate the occasion with family and friends. Whether you are planning a formal, black-tie reception or a wild party with close friends, the wording on your reception card should honestly reflect the type of event you plan to have.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine the mood of your wedding reception. If you are planning a formal, black-tie reception, your wedding reception card should be formal. If you are planning a smaller, more intimate or unusual reception, write your reception cards informally or even with humor.

    • 2

Begin your wedding reception card with, "We invite you to share with us our happiness at the reception immediately following the ceremony." If your reception is for adults only, begin with the sentence, "Adult reception following the ceremony."

    • 3

Reflect the style of your wedding reception with your opening statement. For example, if you are having a formal dinner, write "Black-tie reception and dinner at 8 o'clock in the evening." If you are planning a lively, fun-filled reception, write, "Dinner and dancing immediately following ceremony."

    • 4

List the complete address and location of the reception under the opening sentence.

Tips &- Warnings

  • You do not need a separate RSVP card for the reception. If a guest agrees to come to the wedding, you should also assume that he agrees to attend the reception as well. If guests need to choose an entré-e for the wedding reception meal, this should be included with the RSVP for the wedding invitation.
