Wedding places in texas

It's interesting:
"Just as the happy couple wanted, this is a lovely, small, intimate gathering of close friends and family – so could someone please tell me why I’m here. Oh, that’s right, to make a speech, so here goes …"

Texas is the second largest state in the country, and offers couples a variety of different venues to tie the knot. Weddings at hotels, historic mansions and bed-and-breakfast inns will be memorably romantic. Estimate how many guests you plan to invite before you plan. If you are planning a wedding with more than 100 guests you may need to pass on smaller sites.

  1. The Allan House

    • The Allan House is a Victorian-style mansion in downtown Austin. The Allan House was the former residence of Scottish immigrant and educator John T. Allan. The restored mansion now hosts weddings and private events. The interior of the Allan House can accommodate a maximum wedding party of 75. Larger parties can be accommodated using a combination of the Allan House's courtyard and interior. The courtyard features a stone patio and is surrounded by oak trees decorated with hundreds of white twinkling lights.

    Cathedral Oaks

    • Cathedral Oaks is an event center located in the central Texas town of Belton. Cathedral Oaks has two venues designed specifically for weddings, the Event Center and the Magnolia House. The Event Center is designed for large wedding parties, and measures 6,800-square-feet. The Event Center has two areas designed to accommodate the parties of the bride and groom before the wedding. The Magnolia House is designed for smaller wedding parties totaling 60 guests or less. The Magnolia House is 3,000-square-feet with three bedrooms, each featuring a private bathroom. The Magnolia House can accommodate guests both indoors and outdoors.

    The Westin La Cantera Resort

    • The Westin La Cantera Resort is a luxury resort and spa in San Antonio. The Westin has three places for weddings. The Old Fort Lawn is near the Lost Quarry Swimming Pools, and serves parties up to 200. The Palo Duro Pavilion can serve parties up to 150 and overlooks a private terrace and driving range. The San Antonio Ballroom offers ceremonies overlooking the golf course and a reception area large enough for 1,000 guests.

    Twelve Oaks

    • Twelve Oaks is a bed and breakfast located 20 minutes from San Antonio in Bulverde. Twelve Oaks offers packages for wedding parties as small as four and as large as 100 plus. Ceremonies and receptions are held outdoors in the fully decorated Twelve Oaks garden gazebo. As of February 2011, packages varied in price from $2,000 to $9,000, with amenities such as an ordained minister, a wedding cake and photographer included in most packages.
