The Rochester, New York area boasts a number of country clubs.     • Oak Hill Country Club, located on over 355 acres of land near the Rochester suburb of Pittsford, has hosted all six of the men's national championship tournaments, most recently the 2008 Senior PGA Tournament Championship- the site is scheduled to host the PGA Championship in 2013. The club is home to two 18-hole courses, each with three sets of tees. The Oak Hill clubhouse and facilities are situated in a large, Tudor-style complex featuring dining and banquet services, pro-shop and golf services, driving range and putting greens as well as golf lessons and workshops. In 2009 Golf Digest ranked the East Course--the host of Oak Hill's major tournaments--No. 11 in its list of "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses."

    Irondeqoit Country Club

    • The Irondeqoit Country Club, located in Pittsford and Irondeqoit, is home to an 18-hole course over 130 acres of land, designed by the legendary golf architect Donald Ross. The course has hosted the PGA Nationwide Tour Xerox Classic in 2005 and 2006 among other national tournaments and qualifiers. The course is private and bears a length of 5,972 yards. Additional golfing features include pro-shop, driving range and other practice facilities. Other activities offered by the club include paddle ball, hardcourt tennis and swimming in the club's indoor pool. Irondeqoit Country Club offers pro lessons for golf, swimming and tennis as well as local leagues and inter-club play. On-site dining and banquet facilities seat up to 140 people.

    Brook-Lea Country Club

    • The Brook-Lea Country Club sits on 188 acres of hills, meadows, creeks and woodlands near Rochester. Brook-Lea features a private championship course--18-holes over 6,404 yards--also designed by Donald Ross. Additional golf facilities include a putting green, indoor driving range and a pro shop with rentals as well as pro lessons. The club itself is decidedly upscale with fine-dining and banquet facilities on-site as well as a host of other amenities and services. Members enjoy a library, Olympic-sized pool and hot tub, as well as a special members-only dining room. The Brook-Lea Country Club's fitness center is open 24 hours a day.
