Some Los Angeles neighborhoods with a large amount of party venues include Hollywood, the downtown district and Miracle Mile. Throughout the year, the Mayan hosts Latin salsa music shows and Mexican wrestling competitions.

Vibiana's three spaces include the Main Hall and Foyer for indoor parties, while outdoor events occur in the venue's garden area. Guests have access to Vibiana's mezzanine area, which was originally used for the church's choirs.

     The Los Angeles Music Center (musiccenter.org) accommodates private parties and events in the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The fifth floor of the Chandler Pavilion seats 450 guests for parties, while the Founder's Room -- which resembles an study -- accommodates 150 guests. Catering is available from the Patina Restaurant Group, whose offices reside in the Music Center. Music Center events include pre-opera receptions, fundraiser galas and awards ceremonies.

   • Located in Los Angeles' Highland Park area, the Awesome Playground (theawesomeplayground.com) caters to children ages five through 10. Awesome Playground features an inflatable obstacle course in its outdoor area, while the indoor playground has a doll house and train track. Available party times are Fridays through Sundays and must be reserved in two to three-hour blocks.      The Dragonfly DuLou (dragonflydulou.com) is in the Los Feliz area of the city and features colorful decor in its outdoor courtyard area, which is available for birthday parties. The courtyard features a mini-basketball court and trampoline. This venue provides tables and chairs for parties.    Intimate

   • Situated on Sunset Boulevard, the Catalina Jazz Club (catalinajazzclub.com) provides a supper club-style environment for private parties in the city's Hollywood area. When private parties book this venue, they have access to the club's dance floor, catering from the club's kitchen and a patio area for indoor/outdoor events. Live acoustic or big band music is available upon request. Catalina's dinner entrees include Mediterranean salmon and Cajun catfish.

     Room Five Lounge (room5lounge.com) is in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood of Los Angeles- the lounge is on the second floor of the 143 North LaBrea Avenue building. Private parties at this intimate lounge have access to Room Five's full-service bar and catering service. This venue also has a stage for live music. Special events occur throughout the year, including "Speakeasy Night," a 1920s-themed event. Only guests 21 years or older may enter.
