Armenian people have wedding traditions. Festivities begin the night before when the groom's family arrives at the bride's family home bearing gifts. The gifts include the bride's shoes and veil for the ceremony, which she will see for the first time. The bride's brother lines one of her shoes with money, for luck, and the bride's single friends write their names in the other shoe. The bride crosses off the names as each lady marries. Before the bride can don her veil, it must be passed over the heads of the single women in the room, bringing them luck in marriage. Armenian women have no traditions on how their hair should be worn, therefore they are able to choose a style they like from any of the popular hairstyle for weddings.

The Updo
The updo is one of the most elegant styles for a wedding.
The most chic and classical of all the bridal hair designs is the updo. It can be ornate or simple depending on the style the bride has chosen. It can be a simple bun on the top of the head with accessory hair braided around it and held with pearl-end bobby pins. It can also be an elegant chignon or French twist held by magnificent jeweled combs. It all depends on the mood of the wearer. Another stylish up-do is where the top hair is teased and pulled up into a ponytail. The ponytail is then sectioned and made into an individual jeweled bun and the bangs are severely swept to the side.
The Half and Half
The half up half down hairstyle is chic, but playful as well.
Another elegant hairstyle for the big wedding day is a half and half. The name says it all. The hair is sectioned just above the ears and all of the hair is brought up into a rubber band or a hair clip. Often the top is made into a bun, while the bottom half of the hair is either ironed flat for a super sleek look, or it is curled with hot rollers to give it depth and volume. Normally, the bangs are worn either up in the top portion of the hair, exposing the forehead, or are slicked to the side for a more up-to-date style. The half and half style works well with a tiara type headpiece or no headpiece at all.

Certainly ladies with long, naturally curly hair are the luckiest ladies in the world. One of the most beautiful styles is just allowing natural curl to do its thing. Using some good curl-enhancing products can take the frizz that curls sometimes get, and a good freeze spray can keep the curls, especially around the face where you want them. Curly and natural hair complements any dress or headpiece.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, use a flatiron to flatten curly hair and give it a straight look. Spraying it with a sheen product adds ultra shine to flattened hair, which now can be worn tucked behind the ears, or re-curled with hot rollers into a retro chic style.
Short and Flippy
A bob can flip under just as nicely as it can flip out.
A common haircut for many women with short hair is called a "bob." A bob can be many lengths, but the most common length is between ear and chin level. Using a good shampoo for body and a conditioner that matches is one way to start a great bridal hair-do. Use a blow-dryer with a round brush just to get most of the moisture out of it, then add some good product for sculpturing the hair. Finish blowing the hair dry with a large round brush, brushing it under until it is almost dry. For the last few minutes, use the blow-dryer and round brush to flip the ends outward like a flip. When it is dry, use a flat iron to flatten the hair and at the very ends flip it outward instead of under. This style can also be worn in a half and half, with the top clipped up and the flip holding the attention. Freeze spray ensures it will stay in place during the nuptials.
