Wedding ideas

It's interesting:
"Your opportunity to wow the audience and create a moment at the wedding people will be ... The Internet's largest collection of original wedding speech material, ..."

Wedding ideas can come fast and furious from friends and relations, but the important thing to keep in mind if you are the bride is that this is YOUR day. Also keep in mind that this is the groom's day as well and bring him into the decision-making process right from the start. You might just be surprised at how creative his ideas can be. Together, both of you should decide on what are the perfect elements to celebrate your love.

  1. Renaissance Theme

    • The real Renaissance was not nearly as romantic as movies about Shakespeare falling in love would have you believe, but if you avoid the sewage problem and focus on the elegant dresses, garlands and wreaths, bare bodkins and codpieces, you'll have a photo album worth looking through every anniversary. Several Renaissance Faires make their way around the country and you may be able to hire some participants to either take an active part in your wedding or at least give you tips.

    Dramatic Lighting

    • Outdoor weddings that take place at night can gain a dramatic impact through lighting. You could string lights on the limbs of trees or line the pathway leading to the altar with luminaria. During an indoor wedding, arrange for all the lights to go out except for a soft spotlight on the couple when it's time for the kiss.

    Your Wedding: A Documentary

    • Hire several different videographers to capture every minute of the ceremony from different angles and then use computer editing equipment to edit together a Hollywood-type documentary-style film. Your placement of videographers will depend on the venue. Retail software makes editing video yourself fairly easy, but also consider hiring a professional to piece your wedding movie together complete with music, voice-overs and interviews with attendees and participants.

    Wedding Party Background Video

    • Video can also be used for another effect. If you can get a big enough screen for everyone at the wedding party to see, show a continuously looping silent film that is collated together from video of the lives of the groom and bride. Add in special visual effects like fast motion, slow motion, sepia-tones and title card inserts to keep kids watching. Start planning this video as soon you announce a date for the wedding so you can go through and pick out both funny and touching moments from your lives before and after you met.

    Personalized Wedding Cake Toppers

    • Personalize your wedding cake by adding a topper that says more about your personality than the standard bride and groom topper ever will. Toppers are now available in that show everything from his love of Homer and Marge Simpson to her love of fishing. It is even possible to get a customized bobble-head cake topper made from a photo of the bride and groom.
