Royal blue pink wedding themes

Royal blue & pink wedding themes

It's interesting:
"Oh. Is there a wedding going on? .... You may never see a wedding like this one again … not now that they've banned multi-buys on supermarket booze. ..."

A pretty but striking color palette will make your wedding decor picturesque, from the wedding cake, the attire for the wedding party, and the flower arrangements at the ceremony and reception. Contrasting light and dark colors are ideal wedding decor combinations- the rich shade of royal blue pairs well with the brightness of pink to give every aspect of your wedding visual appeal.

  1. Wedding Invitations

    • For a classy and semi-formal ceremony, choose royal blue invitation paper for the invitations, and have the invitations professionally embossed in white or silver to show up against the dark paper. Select sheer pink invitation paper to go over the documents before placing them in soft pink envelopes with dark blue seals that feature the new initial of your last name. Or, send your guests pink wedding invitations with royal blue font -- select a design for the center of the documents, like your monogram or the main flower you're using for your wedding decor, printed in the center of the invitations using both pink and blue ink. Seal the royal blue envelopes with rose pink seals trimmed in silver.

    Bridal Party Attire

    • Determine whether the majority of your bridesmaids have warm or cool skin tones. If most of the women have reddish or warm undertones, pink dresses in shades like blush or fuchsia are best for spring and summer weddings. Long, flowing sundresses work well for an outdoor ceremony, and strapless gowns made from a shimmery material are perfect for a more formal wedding in a chapel or banquet hall. Bring the two wedding theme colors together by adding a royal blue silk band to the center of the strapless dresses, or give the bridesmaids at your summer outdoor wedding small bouquets of dark blue hydrangeas or irises. Adorn the flower girls in dresses the same color as the hydrangeas, with hot pink lace hems or waist bands. Perform the "skin tone" test on the groomsmen as well to see whether blue or pink vests, bow ties, pocket squares, or cummerbunds will look best with their tuxedos.

    Wedding Cake

    • A layer cake covered in light or medium pink fondant and trimmed with a collection of real pink roses or dark blue irises made from icing makes for a visually appealing wedding cake. Accents like small edible pearls made of blue or pink to adorn the layers will make the main wedding dessert even more attractive. A cake iced in white and surrounded with royal blue ribbon (silk or fondant) makes for an impressive cake as well, particularly when pink edible glitter is applied to the dessert. Blue and pink fondant polka dots against the white cake will stand out, along with a cake topper of a small pink and blue hydrangea arrangement, or glass or plastic sparkly letters in the shape of your initials.

    Flower Arrangements and Centerpieces

    • Line the altar in the wedding chapel with real or synthetic pink roses (the flower that represents beauty and gratitude) in between royal blue satin bows. If the wedding will take place outside, select a royal blue aisle runner, and sprinkle pink daisy petals on the runner to bring both color schemes together. Tie magenta ribbons around blue ceramic vases and fill the vases with coral-colored carnations to grace the center of each table at the reception. Surround the vases with small, pink sweet pea-scented flowers, and add royal blue table confetti to the white or off-white tablecloths for additional texture and theme-specific color.
