Best mother son wedding dance songs

Best mother & son wedding dance songs

It's interesting:
"It was 48 hours before the wedding and I had zero best man speech made. 2 hours after I found your site I had logged off with an excellent speech.' Luke Betts ..."

Weddings are emotional, especially for the mother of the groom, who is watching her little boy officially become a grown-up. One way you can show her you will always be her son is by the wedding dance song you choose. When picking out a special song, think about what really sums up your relationship and don't be afraid to ask for your mom's opinion.

  1. Traditional

    • If you and your mom have a traditional mother-son relationship, a traditional mother-and-son song might be a good fit. Here are a few choices:

"You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban, "Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston, "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart, "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler and "Song For Mama" by Boyz 2 Men. For more options, WedProSearch.com has a list of the top 20 mother-son wedding dance songs. Also see the link in the Resources section.

    Country

    • If you and your mom both love country music, you're in luck. Here are some to get you started: "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts, "To Make You Feel My Love" by Garth Brooks, "Wish For You" by Faith Hill, "And Then They Do" by Trace Adkins and "Through the Years" by Kenny Rogers. Country Music Mood also has a nice list of country songs. See the link in Resources.

    Additional Tips

    • In choosing your mother-son wedding dance song, decide what type of mood you would like. Light and playful or soft and sentimental? Also, make sure to listen to all of the lyrics. Do they make sense for you and your mother? Do they reflect how you feel about each other? Also note the length of the song. If you choose something that is really long your guests will start to lose interest.
