Tips &- Warnings
The average high summer temperatures are in the low- to mid-80s, with comfortable water temperatures through the fall.
Keep in mind that Virginia Beach accommodations and attractions do not accept personal checks.
Plan to stay in one place for several days. During the busy summer season, hotels may require a minimum stay of two, three or four days.
Ask about cancellation policies before you book. Some hotels require seven days notice for cancellations to avoid fees.
Pets are not allowed on the public beaches, grassy areas or boardwalks between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
