Wedding planner games

Wedding planner games

It's interesting:
"It seems that just a couple of days before the wedding, he chose a tall, striking blonde behind his fiances back. He voted for Boris Johnson on Thursday…"

Planning a wedding requires much attention to detail and demands large amounts of time from the bride and groom. That may be the main reason why couples hire a wedding planner to take care of all of the details for their special day. Couples, wedding planners or anyone with a romantic side can play various games to gain stress-free practice for that big event.

  1. Imagine Wedding Designer

    • Six brides with varying personalities and tastes test players' wedding planning abilities in UBI Soft's "Imagine Wedding Designer," available for the Nintendo DS platform. In their efforts to advance in the wedding design business, players design all aspects of six ceremonies. They choose bouquets, bridal attire and bridal party, dresses, flowers, hair and makeup, invitations, music and venue. If ceremonies do not go smoothly, players deal with surprising events during the ceremony. After handling the six ceremonies, players may plan a wedding for their own bride character.

    Wedding Dash

    • Wedding planner Quinn needs players' assistance to sustain her business in PlayFirst's "Wedding Dash," available for the Nintendo DS platform and as a free trial download for Windows and Mac systems. After selecting "Career Mode" or "Endless Reception," players review couples' wedding needs and choose details, such as the cake, flowers, honeymoon destination and meals. At wedding ceremonies, players click and drag guests to their tables of choice. Clicking the gifts takes them to the newlyweds. You can click on food and beverages on the chef's table to serve guests. If guests wait too long for service, they get upset and players lose points.

At times when a wedding crisis occurs--such as battling bridesmaids, a crying aunt or a table fire--players click the alert bubble to have Quinn walk over and fix the mess. Along the way, players upgrade various features, such as appetizers, chef, chef's table and waitress. Players must reach each ceremony's monetary target goal to advance to the next level- if they fail to do so, they may start from the last level. If players enjoy "Wedding Dash," they may investigate the following Windows and Mac games in the "Wedding Dash" series: "Wedding Dash 2- Rings Around the World" and "Wedding Dash: Ready, Aim, Love!"

    Wedding Planner

    • Players try to stay within budget when planning a wedding in "Wedding Planner," accessible at the Games2Win site. After selecting one of three couples, players consult the client's budget and wedding desires before making decisions. Players have three minutes to select the following wedding details: venue, decorations and carpeting, transportation, bride and groom attire, cake, drinks, meals, flowers and music. The more money players save, the more points they earn. The game ends if players do not finish planning in the allotted time.

    The Wedding Planner Game

    • Hasbro's "The Wedding Planner Game" gives players $5,000 as a starting point to plan their wedding. As they move their wedding pawn piece around the board, they encounter various wedding chores, and earn "Happiness" points based on the decisions they make and the items they purchase. If at any time players do not have the funds to buy an item, they do without it and do not collect "Happiness" points. Once players reach or pass the "Your Wedding Day" space, they pay the money due on their honeymoon. Then players total the amount of money they have left and score one Happiness point for every $1,000. Finally, players add in all "Happiness" points that they earned through gifts. The player with the most points wins the game.
