The current version of Adobe Photoshop for Mac and Windows is available for download on the Adobe website. These versions of Photoshop are full-featured, however you must purchase a product key to use the programs after the 30-day trial period expires. Because of the size of the Photoshop files, you will need to use the cross-platform Akamai Download Manager provided by Adobe to download the files. The Adobe Photoshop installer works in the same way on Mac and Windows-based computers.

Enter the Adobe Photoshop download page address in your browser. (See Resources.) You will need to sign in to your Adobe account to access the page. If you do not have an account, create a free account by pressing the "Create an Adobe account" button.

Select the appropriate version of Photoshop using the pull-down menu. Click "Download."

Press "Save File" to download the Akamai Download Manager. Mount the .dmg file and run the Akamai Client Installer on a Mac. On a Windows-based computer, run the .exe file and double-click on "AdminTool."

Select a save location for Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop will begin to download automatically.

Mount the .dmg file and click on the "Setup" application on a Mac or run the .exe file on Windows. Select the "Quick Install" option and press the "Install" button.
