Western Massachusetts, home of the Greater Springfield, Franklin County, The Berkshires and Mohawk Trail areas, has many traditional and unique places to have a cocktail party.

Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Mohawk Trail Area

    • The Mohawk Trail, opened on October 22, 1914 in Northwestern Massachusetts, was New England's first scenic road. The trail is 63 miles and 50,000 acres of parks and forests and the area is rich in history, with many cultural locations being centuries old and fully restored. MASS MoCA art museum is located on Marshall Street in North Adams in a restored 19th-century factory. The museum spans visual art, performance art and art education and features creative spaces within its facility to host events, such as cocktail parties. MASS MoCA rents out its lobby, courtyards and three-story gallery spaces in four-hour increments. The colorful, vibrant and sometimes controversial art work will make great conversation-starters during a cocktail party.

    The Berkshires Area

    • The Berkshires area lies in the southwestern part of the state and is know for its sophisticated entertainment and diverse culture. Gala Restaurant & Bar is within the Orchards Hotel on Adams Road in Williamstown. The hotel/restaurant combination provides a practical location to host a cocktail party, as the hotel has space to accommodate parties of four to 125 people and the classic, yet contemporary Gala Restaurant & Bar is capable of serving for the event. The Orchards Hotel and Gala Restaurant & Bar has 3,100 square feet of space and a spacious courtyard for hosting cocktail parties.

    Franklin County Area

    • Franklin County, Massachusetts is known for its rural charm. Located in the northwestern area of the state, Franklin County has many bed and breakfasts, small local family attractions, antique shops and craft galleries. A gem in the county is the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory and Gardens located on Greenfield Road in South Deerfield. Magic Wings is a 18,400-square foot facility dedicated to the appreciation, education and sale of butterflies, moths and tropical vegetation. The facility hosts meetings, children's parties, weddings and adult private parties and is adequately equipped to host a cocktail. The tropical temperature at which they keep the facility for the sake of the butterflies and plants and the specific theme make the location a unique spot to host a cocktail party.
