Big Sandy, Texas, is a small community located in northeastern Texas in Upshur County. It was established during the Civil War but did not become a official community until 1926.    • Also located 20 miles east of Big Sandy in Longview, Texas, the Hampton Inn and Suites offers a room of more than 1,500 square feet with the option to hold at least 150 guests at a time. The meeting room at the Hampton Inn and Suites also comes with tables, chairs and the option to use the hotel's kitchen as the wedding's catering service. The Hampton Inn and Suite also offers help with decorations and provides discounted rooms for guests of the wedding.
