The Netgear Ma111 Version 1 wireless network adapter is an older USB device that connects computer users to the Web. The MA111 runs on Windows XP and comes with a utility that allows you to locate available wireless networks quickly. Connect to the Internet by plugging the MA111 into any computer running Windows XP. Before doing that, you must install the device's utility software and driver.

Insert the CD that comes with the MA111 adapter. The installation wizard appears. .

Click "Install Driver and Utility," and follow the instructions as the wizard guides you through the installation process.

If you use the MA111 on multiple computers, the utility program's profile-saving feature can save you time. Simply create a profile for each computer where you use the adapter. For instance, you might create one named "Work" that contained settings used at your job. Another profile named "Home" could hold the settings you use to connect over your home network.
