Discount bridal shops in boston
It's interesting:"At the wedding rehearsal yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of talking with Linda’s close friends. They talked about how she’s the friend they turn to when they need to vent over a foolish boyfriend or for advice on land the job of their dreams. They also said she has some pretty sweet moves on the dance floor. So let’s see them!"
Weddings cost a lot--from the reception site to the music to the flowers to the honeymoon--so you shouldn't have to spend a bundle on your gown. From small boutiques to a Running of the Bulls-esque event, a few places in Boston offer gowns at a discounted price without compromising style (or a designer label).
Does this Spark an idea?
Filene's Basement
One of the things Filene's Basement is best known for are their Bridal Gown Events--better known as "-Running of the Brides"-. Since 1909, the Basement has occasionally sold wedding gowns, but they've been hosting official gown events since 1947. Held once a year in the rest of the country but twice a year in Boston, the Running of the Brides features thousands of designer gowns for $249, $499, or $699. The gowns are hand-chosen by a Filene's Basement buyer and come from other retailers that may have cancelled orders or are clearing out space for new inventory. During Running of the Brides, the doors open early in the morning and brides-to-be, their bridal parties, and other helpers rush the racks and grab as many gowns as possible.
If you're not interested in that, it's a good idea to wait a few hours because things will calm down. According the official Filene's Basement website, at the Boston event (which is the biggest) 800 people may be in line, but only 250 of them may be brides. With thousands of dresses to choose from, plenty will be put back on the racks by 10:00 or 11:00 AM.
Please note that while the location of the store is in the Back Bay, running of the brides takes place at a nearby convention center.

VOWS Bridal Outlet
VOWS Bridal Outlet, opened more than 15 years ago, is located in Watertown, Massachusetts--an inner-tier suburb of Boston. Leslie, the owner, began VOWS after not being able to wear her dream gown to her wedding. (As she states on the store website, she was looking for a designer gown on a small budget.) Today, VOWS is the largest (and first) outlet in the US to offer sample designer gowns and overstock to newly engaged brides-to-be. And to suit even more tastes, VOWS recently introduced its very own Liv Harris Designs--gowns that are made from top-notch fabrics, come in plus-sizes, and fit a tight budget.
The VOWS website, www.bridepower.com, allows you to search for designer gowns 50 percent to 70 percent off their regular retail price. Most of the gowns can be found in the store. VOWS recommends that you try a dress on before purchasing it, but it is possible to buy a gown without trying it on. Since VOWS carries sample gowns, it's most likely that only one gown in one size will come in at a time.

The Bridal Secret
The Bridal Secret, opened in 1992 in Quincy, another Boston suburb, offers high-quality wedding gowns at a fair price. The owner of the store is in touch with a large number of high-end bridal stores across the US and Boston and buys their new samples, discontinued designs, and old-but-still-stylish inventory. All gowns at the Bridal Secret are 30 percent to 70 percent off, and new styles come in every week or so. In addition to gowns, the Bridal Secret also sells hairpins and other accessories.
