How to create your own wedding reception centerpieces

create your own wedding reception centerpieces

It's interesting:
"You may never see a wedding like this one again … not now that they've banned ... 26-Mar-201As an extra special wedding present, I've organized a ..."

You could always hire someone to make your wedding table centerpieces, but you can easily make decorative centerpieces much less expensively yourself. It just takes a few items from your local craft store and a little creativity on your part. You can make them to match your wedding theme and you can make them as formal and as elegant as you like.

Things You'll Need

  • Glass beads or rocks
  • Imitation flowers
  • Vase
  • Ribbon
  • Rose petals
  • Floating candles

Instructions

  1. Flowers and Glass Beads

    • 1

Choose a color scheme for your wedding centerpieces. Go to a craft store like Michael's or Hobby Lobby to purchase imitation flowers, glass beads, ribbon and other items to decorate your centerpieces.

    • 2

Pour 2 cups of colorful rocks or glass beads into each vase.

    • 3

Position the imitation flowers in the vases. Trim the ends if they appear to be too tall for your vases. Keep your wedding centerpieces below eye level to avoid obstruction of anyone's view.

    • 4

Tie a coordinating ribbon in a bow around the neck of each vase.

    Floating Candles

    • 5

Determine how many centerpieces you will need. Fill each vase half way with water and flower petals.

    • 6

Place a floating candle in the center of each vase.

    • 7

Tie a lace bow around the neck of each vase.
