Wedding locations in michigan

It's interesting:
"I think you'll all agree that it's been a wonderful wedding so far. ... But I never received a formal invitation to the wedding, so I just hope I haven't eaten a meal ..."

Selecting a wedding venue can be a stressful process because it serves as the backdrop for decorations and wedding photos and may reflect a couple's sense of style. The location of a wedding ceremony also depends on the number of guests, the season of the event and finances. Michigan, which is the tenth largest state in America, has more than 3,000 miles of Great Lakes shoreline and offers a variety of wedding venues across the state.

  1. The Homestead

    • If you want to walk amongst fresh flowers or get married by the waters of Lake Michigan and Glen Lake, then The Homestead may be the right venue for you. Located in Glen Arbor, the Homestead is situated near Lake Michigan's Sleeping Bear Bay, Crystal River, the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the South and North Manitou Islands. This wedding venue offers three sites for weddings and receptions. Cafe Manitou and Camp Firefly offer smaller weddings with a maximum of 50 people during the spring and fall. Weddings at Mountain Flowers Lodge can accommodate 180 guests and is open year-round.

    The Inn at St. John's

    • Have the wedding ceremony, reception and guest lodging at one place. The Inn at St. John's is conveniently located in Plymouth and offers ballroom weddings. The hotel features classic Romanesque architecture with marble floors, and handcrafted woodwork and stonework. There are four ballrooms that may satisfy your needs: the Grande Ballroom, which seats up to 400 guests- two additional ballrooms that feature 25-foot ceilings and accommodate 180 guests- and the two-story glass Atrium, which holds 400 guests. There is also a historical chapel for a Catholic wedding. Sip cocktails in the Garden Gallery and take pictures in a lush garden or by a waterfall.

    The Belvedere Inn

    • The Belvedere Inn is a unique wedding venue that can assist in planning your special day. A boutique inn located in Saugatuck, this place offers elegant lodging accommodations, lush grounds and gourmet foods. The Belvedere Inn provides a personal special events coordinator to work with you in planning your wedding. The Inn offers three different wedding packages, from June through September, that can accommodate up to 350 guests. Indoor weddings, with a capacity of 100 guests, are held for the remaining months. Outdoor ceremonies occur anywhere on the grounds--from the bird gardens to the floating gazebo on the pond.

    Victoria Wedding Chapel

    • For a smaller wedding, try the Victoria Wedding Chapel in Waterford. Built in 1926, the chapel is in historic Villa Victoria, an old French Mediterranean Villa on Silver Lake. This restored villa has oak hardwood floors, arches, a circular drive, old-fashioned lampposts and tall pine trees. Ceremonies can occur at the chapel or at the rear plaza by the lake. Outdoor weddings take place from May through October. The Victoria Wedding Chapel also specializes in winter and moonlight weddings. There is a small and classic wedding package that can accommodate 10 to 50 people, respectively.
