The best places to get married in new york
It's interesting:"Sorry if the speeches drag on. Wedding receptions can be a bit like an X Factor results show. You just want to skip through the talky bits to find out ..."
New York is a host of countless romantic, iconic and historic locations. If your wedding plans include getting married somewhere in the city that never sleeps, do yourself a favor and first consider what you want from your wedding. Once you select your preferences, like inside or out, start narrowing down the venues that match your ceremony and reception desires.
Angel Oresanz Center
If you want your wedding to take place in a traditional location, like a church, reserve the Angel Oresanz Center. This building was created in 1849 as a synagogue and is the oldest Reformed Synagogue in the entire United States. The center is beautifully designed with incredible lighting and has space for up to 300 people but can also accommodate smaller ceremonies and receptions. Due to the way the center is set up, you can use separate locations around the building for the ceremony, the reception and even a cocktail hour on the balcony. If the bride needs some breathing room, there is also a private room with a separate bathroom for her and her entourage.

Central Park Boat House
For a beautiful wedding, look no farther than the Central Park Boat House. The boathouse, located on the eastern end side of the lake in Central Park, allows for a grand entrance on a traditional Venetian gondola and brilliant lighting during evening events. If your wedding day vision includes something by the water, the boat house is the only location in the entire park that allows waterside events. The boat house has a variety of options for the ceremony or reception, including the beautiful, indoor Lake Room and the outdoor Conservatory Gardens.

Prince George Ballroom
The ballroom, located in Manhattan's historic district, was designed at the beginning of the 19th century and is filled with neo-Renaissance decorations and details, including an ornamented ceiling and oak floors. The ballroom is for a bride who truly wants to feel like a princess on her wedding day. The ballroom can hold 299 guests, and ceremonies and receptions really come to life in the evening hours, as the lighting becomes magical, bouncing off the giant marble mantelpiece and plasterwork along the walls.
