     Select a non-religious quote dedicated to love or commitment to place on the front of the program. Choose touching words from a poet or author such as William Shakespeare or Emily Bronte. Pick a quote that sets the tone for an event inspiring a romantic and lasting union.

     Write the basic event information at the top of the first page on the inside of the program. Include language like "The Marriage Service of..." and fill in the maiden names of those uniting. Type the date, time and location of the ceremony - in that order - underneath the names.

     List the order of ceremonial events below - from the prelude to the presentation of the bride and groom. Include titles of any non-religious or original songs that will be played and readings given by selected family members or friends. Avoid biblical or other religious readings. Consider reading "To Be One With Each Other" by, George Eliot or "I Promise" by, Dorothy R. Colgan as alternative options.

     List the recessional and wedding party participants on an opposite page. Categorize whoever is presiding over the ceremony as an "officiator" and not a reverend or pastor.
