However, there are various things that cannot be forgotten, such as getting a marriage license, sending thank you cards after the wedding and going over the final details of the wedding to make sure everything is in place.

     Come up with a budget for your last minute wedding. Decide how big or how small your wedding will be. Decide how much money is a reasonable amount to spend on a last minute wedding.

Your location should be big enough for the guests you plan to invite. Since most places are booked months in advance, it may be tough to book a place that's in high demand.

     Locate a priest or rabbi. If you attend church regularly, you can ask your own priest or pastor. Find out how much it will cost. Some priests and pastors don't charge, and some do. If you can afford it, then hiring one is an option.

     Decide how many people will come to the wedding. Send out the invitations as soon as possible since the wedding will be soon. Don't wait until the last minute or else your guests may not be able to make it or may have scheduled other plans.

     Find a wedding dress and tux for your groom-to-be. Look for dresses and tuxes for your bridesmaids, maid of honor and groomsmen. Start shopping as early as possible. Your fiancé- may want to use a suit he already has, if need be.

The wedding cake of your dreams may have to be ordered in advance, so you may have to go with a sheet cake or a ready-made cake. Decide what kind of flowers you'd like to have in your hand as the bouquet and what kinds of flowers you want as decorations. Purchase the decorations you want to have at the location and where you want to put them. Hire the entertainment as soon as possible as well, because the entertainment is usually booked months in advance.
