   • This longtime neighborhood bar in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn has been modified to make it a welcoming gathering place for lesbians and others who are just looking for an enjoyable night out. In testimony to the bar's popularity, "New York" magazine wrote, "Now that the Slope's nightlife has been discovered by the area's Sapphic population, it's the Manhattan girls who are forced to schlep out to Kings County for a good time (not the other way around)." Ginger's is open from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. weekdays and from 2 p.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
