Duxbury, Massachusetts was founded in 1637 and is located about 35 miles south of Boston. Located on the Duxbury Bay, the small 23 square mile town is home to a vibrant, coastal community. The Winsor House Inn is a quaint New England Inn located Duxbury's historic district. The Winsor House was originally built in 1803 as a private residence for members of a prominent Duxbury family, the Winsors. The innkeepers, David and Patricia O'Connell, purchased the home in 1976 and restored it to recapture the home's original warm atmosphere, according to the Inn's website. The Inn offers four bedrooms stocked with fresh flowers and reading materials. The Brown Room offers a queen size canopy bed and private bathroom.
