The California Delta is an area on the Sacramento River, a day or a night trip from San Francisco. It is a popular destination wedding spot, with area hotels that can accommodate the ceremony and overnight guests. Bicycling, kayaking and birding are popular activities.
Ryde Hotel and Event Center
The Ryde Hotel and Event Center has 42 newly refurbished rooms, some with shared baths. The rooms do not have TVs, telephones or air conditioners, though the lobby has Wi-Fi. Continental breakfast is included- there is also an elaborate Sunday brunch. Outdoor activities include a 9-hole golf course and a huge outdoor pool. A boat dock allows you to arrive by water.
Walnut Grove Cottage
The Walnut Grove Cottage does not rent individual rooms- it sleeps up to 6 people, with a kitchen and a BBQ grill that guests can use, as well as a washer/dryer. The hotel offers a computer with Internet access and free bicycles so you can tour the area. There is a crib and highchair if you are traveling with a baby. The 1910 cottage has been meticulously restored with period details.
Grand Island Mansion and Spa
The Grand Island Mansion and Spa is a 58-room mansion mostly used for weddings and corporate retreats. There is a luxurious Sunday champagne brunch, and the mansion is open for tours. Although "spa" is a part of the name, the spa is not yet operational.
Delta Daze Inn
The Delta Daze Inn is a bed and breakfast with ten rooms, all with private baths. Breakfast is included, along with a snack basket.
Rogelios
Rogelios is a bargain hotel, with dinner included in your stay. Free Wi-Fi and a small fitness area is provided by the hotel. The restaurant serves Mexican, Italian, Chinese and American food. A casino is on-site.
