Bride checklist or schedule for wedding

Bride checklist or schedule for wedding

It's interesting:
"Sometimes people get upset when their friend gets married, especially if they don’t know the bride too well. Well, the way I see it – today I’m not losing one friend to marriage, but gaining one instead. And, if you look over at our college friends sitting at table 9, it’ll highlight how nice it will be for us to gain a new member of the crew, a new best friend, especially one who clearly bathes regularly."

Weddings are always hectic, but creating a checklist or schedule can help keep the big day running smoothly. Create your day-of schedule with the bridal party and make sure everyone has a copy, including photographers and key vendors. Designate a reliable person to keep track of the schedule so you won't have to worry during your big day.

  1. Leaving Home

    • Before everyone leaves the house, make sure you have everything that needs to go to the venue. Items to bring include the wedding dress, shoes, lingerie, veil, jewelry, make-up, wedding favors, decorations, bridesmaid dresses and accessories, the guest book, rose petals or rice and the get-away outfit.

    Getting Ready

    • Have a member of the bridal party give the decorations to the venue's staff or whoever is designated to set up. Do hair and make-up. Dress and check the gown for imperfections. Enjoy a light breakfast to settle your stomach. Begin taking pre-wedding bridal portraits.

    Wedding

    • Perform the processional, the ceremony and the recessional as planned. Take couple and family photographs at the wedding venue. Move to the reception space.

    Reception

    • If the wedding has a receiving line, join the wedding party in welcoming guests. Open up the floor with a bridal dance, followed by a father-daughter and mother-son dance. Listen to toasts and enjoy the meal. Cut the wedding cake and feed each other a slice. Throw the bouquet, toss the garter and play any other wedding games. Mingle with guests and enjoy the big day. Perform a last dance and say your goodbyes.

    Post-Reception

    • Change into your get-away outfit. Alert the guests you're about to leave and have a bridesmaid hand out petals, rice or bubbles. Enjoy your farewell and ask a groomsman to help take luggage to the car. After you leave, have the wedding party collect any items or keepsakes you want to save. Also ask them to take any wedding present and cards left at the reception.
