Guide to concert survival

Guide to concert survival

It's interesting:
"You know, I’ve been to lots of great weddings, but today may have been the best. The small, ornate chapel – the beautiful music – the sincere words that Paul and Linda wrote themselves. Ladies and gentlemen, we all witnessed something very special."

While attending a concert, a lot can go wrong if you arrive unprepared. From having a plan for spending to reviewing the parking setup before you arrive, there are ways to enjoy the concert and eliminate the little hassles that try to interfere with your good time.

  1. Scope It Out

    • If you live near the venue and you have never attended a concert there before, take time one day to drive by and evaluate the parking situation. Consider searching for a map of the venue online so you can prepare a parking or exit plan. This will come in handy if an emergency arises during the concert.

Once you arrive, pay attention to the exit doors near your seat and plan to meet up with your concert buddies outside that exit if you get separated during an emergency.

    Eat Beforehand

    • Allow enough time to gather at your place or a fellow concert-goer's place for dinner before the event. Doing this can limit overspending on snacks and beverages during the concert.

    What to Wear

    • Wear comfortable jeans with deep pockets. This can eliminate the need for a purse or and save time spent fumbling around looking for tickets or ID.

    Bring Ear Plugs

    • While this may seem like the perfect tactic for a nonfan who is attending a concert with a spouse or friend, this especially applies to super fans. Protecting your hearing during a concert can help prevent noise-induced hearing loss.
