In 2009, a one-of-a-kind wedding video swept the Internet by storm. It featured a whole wedding party dancing down the aisle not to traditional music, but to a contemporary dance song. You may not want to do something that daring, but you can make your ceremony fun and memorable with the right music.
Songs Needed
You will need at least three songs for your ceremony, one each for the prelude, the processional and the recessional. The recessional song is typically the most joyous, and that's the one you can have the most fun with.
Choosing Your Style
All genres have fun, quirky music. Make sure your selections reflect your personal style, but don't choose any songs that are so over-the-top that they detract from the ceremony.
Classical
For fun, bright classical pieces, think of old cartoons. "Bugs Bunny" classics---such as Brahms' "Hungarian Dances," Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro," and Strauss' "On the Beautiful, Blue Danube"---are easily recognizable and sure to make people smile.
Country
