How to choose a maternity wedding dress

choose a maternity wedding dress

It's interesting:
"Henry told me he's had a little upgrade in time for his wedding night. ... Gillian Simon's wedding has been better attended than this year's Liberal ..."

Just because you are going to be pregnant and showing on your wedding day doesn't mean you have to buy a maternity wedding dress from a limited selection maternity web site. I was seven months pregnant when I got married and I did not wear a "-maternity"- wedding gown. I actually wore a beautiful dress from Davids Bridal. With all the different cuts, shapes and styles of dresses to choose from, your bound to find the dress of your dreams!

Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Small Pillow
  • Friends
  • notebook
  • digital camera

Instructions

    • 1

Look through catalogs, magazines and websites to get ideas of the types of wedding dresses you like. Do you like light and flowy? Lacey? Empire? A-Line? Structured? Strapless? Halter? Start looking. When you see something you love, then cut/print it out and glue it in a wedding notebook.

    • 2

Now looking at your notebook, you should have a good idea of what style of wedding dresses you want to look for. When you go into a large dress shop, such as Davids Bridal or Dimetrios, it can be overwhelming with choices, so it really helps to already have an idea of what to look for.

    • 3

Select all the dresses you like and start trying on.

    • 4

Once you have narrowed it down to a few favorites, ask to try the same dress on in 1 or 2 sizes up. Then stuff the small pillow in place where your belly will be. Depending on how far along in your pregnancy you will be you can estimate how big you think you will be. If you are only 1-2 months pregnant and the wedding is in another 1-2 months, you don't really need to go up in size too much if it's your first pregnancy. You would barely be showing at that point. However, if you are like me and will be further along, make sure there is room to grow. You can put different things in the dress as a faux tummy to vary the size from a sweater to a pillow. Have a friend take digital pics of you in the different dresses.

    • 5

Now that you've tried on the larger sizes with your faux baby belly, determine which styles flatter a pregnant shape and decide on a dress. I choose a strapless lace A-line dress with a long train. I added a red sash with a pendant to create an empire waist, it really made the dress and made my pregnant belly look cute.

    • 6

Unless you fall in love with THE DRESS that day, go home and look at your digital pictures. Go back to the store and try them on again with another friend or relative. Once you know which dress you want, if it is from a big bridal store like David's Bridal, then you can ask if they will still be carrying a lot of that style on the floor by the time of your wedding. That way you can wait and then try on and figure out the correct size right before the wedding. In my case, I just guessed and got my dress 2 sizes up.

    • 7

Wait as long as possible for your dress fitting as you will be constantly growing. At my fitting 2 weeks before my wedding, they suggested taking in the dress a little bit but I said "-no"-. For my final fitting, the dress fit almost perfect, and the day of the wedding, it fit PERFECT. I mean, if I would have got married a week later, it might have been a REALLY tight squeeze.

Tips &- Warnings

  • Just remember if you get your dress bigger, they can alter it to fit you just right by the time your wedding comes. Better to get it a little big than too small.

  • Even better if you can buy your wedding dress right before the wedding so you have a better idea of your size.

  • Don't limit yourself to the limited collection of maternity wedding dress websites, although do check them out as you might find THE DRESS. Just remember you can also get a regular wedding dress and make that work too.

Is the soil useable after a weed killer is applied

Is the soil useable after a weed killer is applied?

It's interesting:
"Wasn’t the wedding ceremony beautiful? The highlight, of course, was Linda floating magically down the aisle. I’m sure we were all thinking exactly the same thing: “How did HE get HER?”"

Chemical weed killers are designed to destroy a plant's root system and should be applied before you begin planting. Soil is inhospitable to all plant life immediately following the application of chemical weed control, but it will not stay this way. Weed control chemicals usually evaporate within a few days.

Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Time Frame

    • After an application of chemical weed killer, the soil will be unsuitable for plant life for 24 to 78 hours, depending on the type of weed killer used. After this period, the majority of active chemicals will have evaporated and the soil will once again be usable.

    Fruits And Vegetables

    • Very few plants are able to grow when weed killer chemicals are present in the soil. If your plants are growing, it means that the soil no longer contains these chemicals, so the risk of dangerous chemicals being absorbed by fruit-bearing plants and contaminating their fruit is negligible.

    Risks Associated With Weed Killers

    • While chemical weed killers will not prevent plant growth permanently, their harmful effects on helpful microorganisms in the soil may be felt throughout the growing season. Moreover, the ingredients in chemical herbicides have been known to cause a variety of health problems in humans, ranging from acute poisoning symptoms to long-term health problems, according to the 2009 Pesticide Action Network Database. Use caution when applying these chemicals.

    Alternative Options: Mulch

    • Mulching is a natural way to control weed growth without causing damage to other plant life. A layer of mulch will deprive small weeds of sunlight. Mulch can also attract helpful organisms to your garden.

    Organic Weed Killers

    • Salt, sugar and vinegar solutions are also effective at controlling weeds. Sugar, like chemical weed killers, makes the soil temporarily unsuitable for plant life, while salting can prevent plant growth for an entire season. Vinegar can be applied directly to the offending weeds throughout the growing season, though care should be exercised to avoid spraying the plants you've grown.

Romantic ways to propose in miami florida

Romantic ways to propose in miami, florida

It's interesting:
"In researching this speech, I’ve tried to find some dirt on Linda, but neither her brother nor her best friends could give me anything. As I'm sure you noticed it wasn’t a problem that I had with Paul. Linda is well liked by everyone, and I have never met anyone who has had anything but good things to say about her – which is wonderful for Paul, but a bit inconvenient for me at this precise moment. It means that I have to continue to shower her with platitudes. But seriously, Linda, you have had a huge positive impact on Paul, and we now speak of Paul ‘BL’ and ‘WL’ - ‘before Linda’ and ‘with Linda’."

Sweep your lady off her feet and into your arms forever in spicy Miami, Florida. Show her just how romantic you can be and demonstrate your love by making yours an engagement worth the envy of all of her friends. Miami offers an array of memorable locations for popping the big question.

  1. Castle for a Princess

    • Surprise her with an evening beach outing. Come prepared with your best sandcastle-making tools -- several buckets or molds of various shapes, small shovels and some pretty seashells for decoration. Pick a secluded spot on a tranquil beach, such as Matheson Hammock Park Beach or Virginia Key on Key Biscayne.

Make it a contest -- whoever builds the most magnificent sandcastle in an hour gets a prize. While you're inspecting each others' finished creations, slip the ring in its opened box onto a turret, bridge or tunnel. When the sparkly diamond catches her attention, get down on one knee and ask her if she believes in happily-ever-afters.

    Flying High on Love

    • Take to the skies over the city for a romantic flight.

After a casual late-afternoon dinner at an open-air market, tell her you have a sunset surprise for her. Whisk her off to the airport about a half hour before sunset to board the hour-long Moon Over Miami Romantic Air Tour. Snuggle close as you lift off into the sky. Watch as the sun sets, casting a red and purple glow over the sparking water below. As darkness falls and the light show of downtown Miami begins, tell her how much you look forward to a lifetime of sunsets by her side and pop the question.

    Moonlit Memories

    • Meander through the butterfly gardens, flowers and tropical hardwood trails of the 444-acre Deering Estate at Cutler. As sunset approaches, make your way to the canoe launch for the Moonlight Canoe Tour. Paddle with your sweetie across Biscayne Bay to Chicken Key with only the light of a full moon illuminating your path. Pause for a moment before reaching the shore. Carefully pull out the ring and ask if she'll be your rowing mate for life. Top off your celebratory night with a campfire and s'mores on the beach as you cuddle close.

    Aquarium proposal

    • Both of you can swim with dolphins at the Miami Seaquarium.

For the animal lover, you can't go wrong with a behind-the-scenes, interactive tour at the Miami Seaquarium. Get a little help from Flipper by surprising your beloved with a Dolphin Odyssey. While you swim and interact with these friendly mammals, you'll develop a deep water bond. Ask the trainer in advance to help you set up a romantic proposal next to the tank, then ask your sweetie to enjoy a lifetime of adventures with you. The Odyssey includes a professional photographer who will capture your big moment.

    Be My Best Mate

    • Board a 60-foot catamaran for a half-day of water and sightseeing adventure. Go snorkeling, kayaking, swimming or jet skiing near Virginia Key, then drink some wine and relax on the deck. Reminisce about all of the good times you've had together and about how much you want to be her best mate. Slip the ring on her finger, then lift off on a parasailing flight. The ring will sparkle in the sunshine as you both glide over the bay.

How to make a simple tres leches cake

make a simple tres leches cake

It's interesting:
"Ellen told Keith that by their wedding day she wanted him to have the body of an Olympic swimmer. She was thinking of Michael Phelps, but from ..."

Tres leches cake, which literally means "-three milks cake,"- is a very popular dessert in Latin America. While making one at home can be complicated if you want it from scratch, if you don't mind cheating a little, you can make a tasty version using a basic cake mix.

Add this to my Recipe Box.

Things You'll Need

  • White or yellow cake mix
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup rum (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Fruit (optional)
  • Nuts
  • Fork

Instructions

    • 1

Bake the cake as directed on the package.

    • 2

Combine the milks and the cream. You also can add the rum if you like.

    • 3

Once the cake has finished baking, allow it to cool for five to 10 minutes.

    • 4

Poke holes throughout the cake with a fork.

    • 5

Pour the milk mixture over the cake as evenly as possible.

    • 6

Place the cake in the refrigerator and let the it soak in the milk mixture.

    • 7

Top the cake with whipped cream before serving. You also can add fruit and nuts as toppings.

Tips &- Warnings

  • If heavy whipping cream is too heavy, use half-and-half or whole milk.

  • Suggested fruits to top the cake include cherries, pineapples, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.

  • Don't poke too many holes in the cake. You don't want it to be a crumbly, mushy mess.

How to find a poem for a wedding ceremony

find a poem for a wedding ceremony

It's interesting:
"Now everyone, I'm aware that it's a particularly cold winter's day for a wedding, but don't worry... if anyone is feeling a chill running down their spine it's ..."

A wedding is one of the most important days in a person's life. The hope that everything goes right is universal but the words spoken that day don't have to be. Whether giving a speech, making a toast, or simply presenting a gift to the bride and groom, a poem that has been specially picked to suit the happy couple and the occasion can make a lasting memory for everyone in attendance. Below are a few hints to finding the right poem for a wedding ceremony.

Instructions

    • 1

Know the theme of the wedding. Like an outfit, a poem must fit in with the rest of the wedding ceremony. The mood and content must suit the mood of the event and be appropriate for the audience.

    • 2

Question bride and groom about partner's preferences and dislikes when it comes to poetry. Ensuring you don't pick a piece that either the bride or groom truly dislike is always best. Having an idea of images and symbolism enjoyed by the couple will help narrow your search.

    • 3

Ask the happy couple to tell you how they met. This is a story they will be telling for the rest of the life and using it as inspiration for your poem choice is always a nice touch. Make note of location, weather, and any other specifics you wish to include.

    • 4

Search classic poetry sites using keywords that reference the couple. If the bride and groom met in Paris on a summer evening, try putting "Paris" and "night" into a keyword or first line poem search and see what shows up. It's best to start with classical poems as they tend to use vivid language that sounds great in formal settings.

    • 5

Copy and paste favorite poems to a separate word processing file as you go along. Remember to first try line, title, and author searches as you look for poems. Select pieces that sound honest and romantic and for practicality's sake, are reasonably brief.

    • 6

Narrow your search down to a few selections. After spending your time researching and checking various sites take into account specifics, pick your three favorite poems and print them out.

    • 7

Show the groom your three poem choices and ask him to pick the most appropriate. A wedding poem can be a total surprise but its best to check with one of the bridal couple to ensure the perfect response. If the groom thinks his fiance will like it, she probably will and that assurance is worth spoiling a surprise.

Tips &- Warnings

  • Classic romantic poems always seem to add just the right touch to weddings but if the bride or groom has a favorite modern author, try to pick one of their pieces. A quick Internet search of the poet's name should present plenty of options.

  • Although a framed poem is nice, a first edition printing is super. Look on rare book sites to find an original or at least a vintage copy of your poem to present to the bride and groom.

  • Wedding poem selection is a service offered by various wedding planning website if you do not have the time to search for the perfect poem yourself.

How to get married in the baptist church

get married in the baptist church

It's interesting:
"On behalf of the bride and groom, I'd like to thank everyone for coming here today. Some of you have travelled considerable distances in order to be here and celebrate Paul and Linda’s happy day. Africa, Continental Europe, the Americas and Asia are not actually places where anyone has travelled from, but I hear that Uncle Jim and Auntie Morag had a 5 hour drive down from Glasgow."

Getting married in the Baptist Church is a serious undertaking and requires much spiritual preparation. A Baptist wedding is an act of worship in which a couple seeks God's blessing of their union before a community of faith.

Instructions

    • 1

Accept Jesus Christ into your life if you haven't already. You can only get married in the Baptist Church if you are a baptized believer. Both members of an engaged couple must be baptized Christians in order to marry in the Baptist Church.

    • 2

Understand the variation among Baptist congregations. Although there are core beliefs common to every Baptist congregation, individual churches vary greatly on some issues such as the ordination of women and the inclusion of non-members in communion.

    • 3

Find a Baptist Church that fits your needs. If you already belong to a Baptist Church, you have a head start. If not, make appointments to speak with the head pastors of several churches to determine which will work best for you.

    • 4

Make life changes required by the Baptist Church before getting married. Many Baptist congregations will not marry couples who are living together or are engaging in premarital sex. Your pastor may ask you to enter an engagement covenant which involves abstaining from such behavior until marriage.

    • 5

Attend marriage seminars affiliated with your congregation. You will have to take premarital classes, the frequency, intensity and cost of which vary greatly. You may also have to attend private counseling sessions with your pastor prior to your wedding.

    • 6

Take a questionnaire, most commonly called the Pre-Marriage Inventory. This learning tool will allow your pastor to pinpoint potential problem areas in your relationship to discuss in private sessions. There is often a fee affiliated with the questionnaire.

    • 7

Discuss any questions or concerns about getting married in the Baptist Church with your pastor before making formal arrangements.

Tips &- Warnings

  • If you are an interfaith couple, speak to religious figures from both faiths to discuss a possible blended ceremony. You may be able to reach a compromise that will please everybody.

  • Many Baptist Churches encourage couples to hold their receptions in the church hall. This can be convenient and less expensive than off-site venues. If you choose this route, you will not be able to serve alcohol and you may have to skip the dancing.

The best colors for a march wedding

The best colors for a march wedding

It's interesting:
"I have been for months trying to write a wedding speech, I wish I'd found this site sooner. It's going to ... You can find speech material to suit any style of wedding."

Not quite winter and not yet spring, choosing colors for your March wedding isn't the easiest of tasks. The good news is that the old rule of choosing colors according to the season is no more. The new rule is that it is your wedding to do with as you see fit. However, for more traditional brides and grooms, there are some seasonal color that will work well for their March wedding.

  1. Green

    • Go green for your March wedding. This works especially well for a St. Patrick's Day wedding. Choose a shamrock green when your wedding date is March 17th. Add red and white for contrast.

    Blue

    • Have a blue wedding in March. Choose a darker blue that is complemented by gold, silver or pinks. Choose a lighter blue that goes well with yellows, black and cream.

    Red

    • Choose red for your March wedding. Red coordinates well with blues, greens and silver. Some shades of taupe also work well with darker, murkier shades of red.

    Yellow

    • Select a bright yellow for your March wedding. Use browns, blues and greens to complement this sunny shade. Black also works well- be careful not to make like a bumble bee, though

    Peach

    • Have a peach wedding in March. Select yellows, greens and purple to go with this color. Be careful that you choose true yellows- hints of orange or red would clash.

It's interesting:
"The happy couple have picked a beautiful sunny day to get married. It’s perhaps a little too hot for me in this suit though, but at least I now know how Chewbacca felt filming those desert scenes."

Most wedding guests come to a wedding knowing nothing more than who is getting married. However, a wedding program will do more than just explain who is getting married and where the service will take place. A good wedding program will inform guests about the wedding party as well as provide an itinerary for the events of the day. A good wedding program will also include a short story about how the couple met and their future plans. Read more to learn design a wedding program.

You may want to include a page that lists the itinerary for the day as well as the wedding guests. Start with the parents, minister, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flowergirl and ring bearer.

Tips &- Warnings

  • Only list the ceremony start time, as the wedding ceremony may run behind schedule.

Mom to son wedding gift ideas

Mom to son wedding gift ideas

It's interesting:
"After all, this wedding has given me the opportunity to meet many of Paul's ... And I hope, when they look back years from now on this, their wedding day, they ..."

On your son's wedding day, it's important to let him know how proud he has made his mother. The best way to express your feelings about your son and his new marriage is through a gift. Whether handmade or store bought, many gifts you can give will show you care.

  1. Keep It Simple

    • In the midst of the big day, it's so easy to stress out and forget the real reason everyone is gathered. It's a celebration! A great gift for your son is some words from the heart. Whether you write him a letter to read in the morning or stand up at the reception and tell a heartfelt story, sons always appreciate hearing how wonderful they are, and no one can do that better than a mother. In the days before the wedding, take the time to list things that are important for you to tell your son. It can be marital advice, a thank you for doing well, a poem or just the story about the day he was born---as long as it's sincere, your son will appreciate this heartfelt gift.

    Tell It With Pictures

    • A great surprise gift is a photo album or collage about your son to set up at the reception. You can also collaborate with the bride's mother and make one for both the bride and groom. Easily show your pride by creating a vivid timeline of your son's accomplishments through photographs over his lifetime. Mount these photos with frames or foam board, and decorate the display to match the decor of the wedding. If you're a tech-savvy mama, you can even snap a couple photos from the ceremony and have them printed before the reception so your collage is truly sentimental.

    Personalize It

    • If you don't fancy yourself a writer, many websites offer framed, personalized poems or scriptures that make a great sentimental gift. You can select from thousands of texts to find just the right way to express your feelings. You can customize your own images, select font styles and pick the frame you want to ensure this gift is perfect for the occasion.

    Check the Registry

    • If your son and future daughter-in-law are registered, check their registry before the big day. If there are any items that guests haven't purchased, get the things everyone else forgot. If you know that there are appliances or necessities that they need but didn't think to register for, these are great wedding gifts. Whether it's a big-ticket item or several gifts that you know they'll love, being practical is always a great way to go

    Money Talks

    • It's not very personal, but everyone could use a little extra cash. Whether you have $50 to spare or $5,000, you really can't go wrong by giving money. If you want to make it a little more special, put the money directly into your son's hand, and let him know you want them to spend it. Let him know if he should use it to splurge on himself, take a trip or invest the funds. Whatever you monetary gift you decide to give, your son will appreciate the extra money as he and his wife begin their life together.

How to file for a marriage separation in tennessee

file for a marriage separation in tennessee

It's interesting:
"This wedding takes place during a week when the web is all astir over ... 4-Feb-201There's nothing like a wedding around Valentine's Day."

According to the Legal Information Institute of Cornell University, a legal separation is a limited divorce that results in the termination of cohabitation by a married couple without a change of marital status or complete dissolution of the marriage. This is an alternative that some couples choose if it is against their religious beliefs to divorce, or when they no longer want to live together but they want to remain equally responsible for their joint obligations and duties.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine if it is in your best interest to occupy a separate residence from your spouse instead of completely dissolving your marriage.

In the state of Tennessee, you may file for a legal separation if you feel that there are sufficient grounds for divorce and are not ready to legally terminate your marriage. Legal separation will not change your marital status but will allow you as a married couple to occupy separate residences. While legal separation primarily stipulates residency restrictions, the court may be petitioned to establish provisions on child custody, child visitation, spousal support and property issues as a part of the legal separation order. An absolute divorce may be granted if there is no reconciliation, a petition for divorce is filed, or if there has been two years or more of legal separation.

    • 2

Verify that your situation satifies the residency requirements for filing a petition of legal separation in the state of Tennessee.

Legal separation may be granted if any of the 16 grounds of divorce are present, according to the State of Tennessee Statute 36-4-101: Grounds for Divorce from Bonds of Matrimony. In order to file, you must complete and file a petition with the City Clerk in the county in which you last shared a residence, where you currently reside, or where your spouse resides if you are a non-resident of the state.

Additionally, you or your spouse must have been a resident of the state of Tennessee for a minimum of six months before you are able to file, unless the basis of your filing occurred in the state of Tennessee--such as your partner committing a crime or adultery in Tennessee, but you reside in another state.

Military personnel must have been a resident of the state at least one year prior to filing unless the incident that causes either of you to seek separation was committed within the state.

    • 3

Confirm that you have sufficient grounds to file for legal separation per the state of Tennessee divorce statutes.

In order to file for divorce or legal separation, the state of Tennessee has issued specific grounds that stipulate whether there is specific cause for legal changes to your marital agreement.

Listed below are the specified reasons that you may petition the court for a legal separation as outlined in Tenneesee Statute 36-4-101:

      (1) Either party, at the time of the contract, was and still is naturally impotent and incapable of procreation-

      (2) Either party has knowingly entered into a second marriage, in violation of a previous marriage, still subsisting-

      (3) Either party has committed adultery-

      (4) Willful or malicious desertion or absence of either party, without a reasonable cause, for one (1) whole year-

      (5) Being convicted of any crime that, by the laws of the state, renders the party infamous-

      (6) Being convicted of a crime that, by the laws of the state, is declared to be a felony, and sentenced to confinement in the penitentiary-

      (7) Either party has attempted the life of the other, by poison or any other means showing malice-

      (8) Refusal, on the part of a spouse, to remove with that person's spouse to this state, without a reasonable cause, and being willfully absent from the spouse residing in Tennessee for two (2) years-

      (9) The woman was pregnant at the time of the marriage, by another person, without the knowledge of the husband-

      (10) Habitual drunkenness or abuse of narcotic drugs of either party, when the spouse has contracted either such habit after marriage-

      (11) The husband or wife is guilty of such cruel and inhuman treatment or conduct towards the spouse as renders cohabitation unsafe and improper, which may also be referred to in pleadings as inappropriate marital conduct-

      (12) The husband or wife has offered such indignities to the spouse's person as to render the spouse's position intolerable, and thereby forced the spouse to withdraw-

      (13) The husband or wife has abandoned the spouse or turned the spouse out of doors for no just cause, and has refused or neglected to provide for the spouse while having the ability to so provide-

      (14) Irreconcilable differences between the parties- and

      (15) For a continuous period of two (2) or more years that commenced prior to or after April 18, 1985, both parties have lived in separate residences, have not cohabited as man and wife during such period, and there are no minor children of the parties.

      (b) A complaint or petition for divorce on any ground for divorce listed in this section must have been on file for sixty (60) days before being heard if the parties have no unmarried child under eighteen (18) years of age, and must have been on file at least ninety (90) days before being heard if the parties have an unmarried child under eighteen (18) years of age. The sixty-day or ninety-day period shall commence on the date the complaint or petition is filed.

    • 4

Obtain all of the information necessary to file the petition.

The petition for legal separation is called a bill of particulars and requires that you provide the grounds on which the petition is being filed. You must also provide full names, mailing addresses, date of birth and birth place, social security numbers, names and social security numbers of yourself, your spouse, and any minor children or children born during marriage. You must also provide the court with information on either of your previous marriages, as well as the race or ethnicity of you and your spouse. Additionally, if you or your spouse has obtained legal representation, the lawyer or agent acting on either of your behalf must also be listed on the petition.

In addition to submitting the above information, you as the filing party, will also need to provide the clerk of the court with a 8 ½- x 11 in envelope labeled with your name as well as your spouse's name. The envelope will then be marked by a docket or case number. The clerk will file stamp the documents and envelope. Subsequently, the contents of the envelope will be sealed and stored in your case file.

After your petition has been filed, temporary injunctions will remain in effect for you and your spouse until your court appearance. These temporary injunctions will prohibit actions in regards to marital assets and property, insurance premiums, behavior, children, residency, and evidence.

Upon your court appearance, the judge will issue a ruling on the allocation of marital property, visitation arrangements and custodial issues, and any other matters regarding the legal separation.

How to file for bankruptcy protection in orange county california

file for bankruptcy protection in orange county, california

It's interesting:
"Sorry if the speeches drag on. Wedding receptions can be a bit like an X Factor results show. You just want to skip through the talky bits to find out ..."

Filing for bankruptcy can protect you from creditors seeking repayment but can also have long-lasting negative effects. Bankruptcy typically stays on your credit report for up to 10 years and lowers your credit score significantly, which can affect any future attempts to obtain credit, rent or buy a home or even find a job. To file bankruptcy in Orange County, California, you must follow the instructions of the Santa Ana Courthouse located at 411 West Fourth Street.

Instructions

    • 1

Stop making payments on debt you wish to discharge. If you know you are going to file bankruptcy and discharge a debt, any money you pay towards the debt will be lost. As bankruptcy will damage your credit rating anyway, making payments to maintain your credit rating is not a viable strategy.

    • 2

Attend pre-bankruptcy counseling. As part of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, you must attend an authorized bankruptcy counseling class before you file a bankruptcy petition.

    • 3

Choose a bankruptcy chapter. If you qualify, you can file for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in which you discharge most if not all of your debts without making any payments. If you have valuable assets worth more than state-defined exemption limits, you must turn those assets over to the court. You can also file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy in which you keep your assets but must make court-ordered payments to your creditors for three or five years.

    • 4

Consult a bankruptcy attorney. Even if you intend to file for bankruptcy on your own, a process known as pro se, you can get free consultations from many bankruptcy attorneys without any further obligation. As filing for bankruptcy in Orange County is a complicated process, you may be able to learn helpful information for free from a licensed attorney.

    • 5

Obtain the correct bankruptcy forms. Bankruptcy is a federal procedure. However, each local court district has its own local rules, including Orange County. Contact the local bankruptcy clerk to ensure you are using all the correct forms and that they are current and complete.

    • 6

Assemble your financial data. Your Orange County bankruptcy petition must include information about all of your income, assets, debts and property transfers. If you forget to include any of the required information your bankruptcy petition may be dismissed or deemed fraudulent, which is a crime.

    • 7

Complete your bankruptcy petition. Ensure your entries are correct and sign the petition under penalty of perjury. Properly completed, a bankruptcy petition in Orange County can easily exceed 50 pages.

    • 8

Attend your 341 meeting. Known as the meeting of creditors, this meeting provides the bankruptcy trustee and any creditors the opportunity to review your petition and ask you any questions regarding the information you provide. Most 341 meetings are uneventful and last only a few minutes.

    • 9

Complete your financial management class. Within 45 days of your 341 meeting, you must attend a post-petition financial management class in order to receive your discharge.

    • 10

Make payments or await discharge. If you filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, you will not receive your discharge papers until you fulfill your payment plan. With a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you should receive your discharge papers a few months after your 341 meeting, if there are no creditor or trustee objections.

Wedding ideas for vendors

Wedding ideas for vendors

It's interesting:
"I hope you like these wedding suits. To make sure I would be able to fit into mine I 've been watching my weight. As you can see I've had it right out in front of me ..."

As a wedding vendor such as a florist, DJ, photographer or caterer, you often experience fierce competition when it comes to landing gigs. While many vendors opt to advertise in bridal magazines and at local bridal expos, the booth or advertisement can often be easily lost amidst the plethora of other vendors. Making yourself and your business stand out from the rest is critical to securing consistent business.

  1. Presentation

    • Create an expo booth space that draws attention, even when surrounded by other vendors. A caterer can opt to present food in a unique fashion -- for example, serving dessert bites and appetizers in martini glasses. In lieu of simply setting up vases of arrangements and bouquets, a florist can display pieces in a more creative fashion, such as suspending the arrangements from the ceiling. A photographer can set up a large monitor or screen with photo slide shows accompanied by music. Put a new spin on traditional presentations to really catch the passing bride-to-be's eye.

    Coupons

    • Savings are almost always important to a bride, and a deal can entice the bride-to-be to pick up the phone and set an appointment. Incorporate a coupon into all of your print advertising that compels the consumer to clip it and contact you. The coupon can be for a dollar amount, such as $100 off a DJ package or floral package, or an incentive, such as a free Jack-and-Jill party booking when a wedding is booked, or offering a free bridal bouquet with the purchase of five bridesmaid bouquets. Print different coupons in different advertisements so you can trace which coupons are being redeemed and better track and compare the results of different ads you are running in different publications.

    Samples

    • Gifts and samples of products will help make a wedding vendor stand out in the mind of the bride and may also make her more apt to set an appointment or book with you. Vendors at bridal expositions typically bombard brides with pamphlets, fliers and business cards, which can often easily become lost or tossed. If, for example, you give out small boxes of candy with your company name and contact information included on the label, they will stand out amidst the sea of paper. Give each guest a small flower with your company information attached, or, if you're a photographer, set up a photo booth and print your company's information on the back of your photos.

    Testimonials

    • Hearing from other real-life brides and bridal couples about their experience with the vendor can often validate the vendor's expertise and skills more than any advertisement. Display video customer testimonials on a computer or television at a bridal exposition for the consumers to watch. You can also opt to include a line or two of customer testimonials in print advertising to give validation to your services. Include the full name and hometown of the past customers, as this will add realism to the testimonial.

Wedding dress superstitions

Wedding dress superstitions

It's interesting:
"There are those who accuse Paul of being unromantic. Well, all I can say, Linda, is that he'll prove them wrong on February 14 when he celebrates Valentine's ..."

There are many superstitions and traditions that are connected with weddings in general and specifically the wedding dress. Even people who are not overly superstitious often feel compelled to follow some of these superstitions and traditions because they enhance the specialness of a wedding day and add to the celebration of the marriage.

Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Significance

    • The bride must be very careful not to tear her wedding dress while she is wearing it. If the wedding dress is torn on the wedding day, the superstition is that the marriage will end with one spouse dying. In connection with this superstition, if the wedding dress is torn the day prior to the wedding the marriage will end in death also.

    Considerations

    • A bride should never help to make or sew her own wedding dress. If a bride does contribute any sewing to her own wedding dress, it is thought that the number of stitches she sews will be the number of tears she will shed during the course of her marriage.

To bring good luck, the last stitch in the wedding dress should not be stitched until immediately before the bride walks down the aisle. Some brides have several hairs sewn into a wedding dress for good luck.

    Warning

    • As unsettling and upsetting as this would likely be, it is considered the utmost in good luck if a bride happens upon a spider nestled in her wedding dress. Remember to remove the spider safely before the bride puts on the wedding dress.

    History

    • One of the oldest superstitions states that it is bad luck for the entire wedding outfit (including all accessories) to be worn before the wedding day. It is also warned that if the bride does try on any portion of the wedding outfit prior to her wedding day it is bad luck for her to look at herself in a full mirror. If a bride tries on her wedding dress before her wedding day, this superstition can be adhered to by not trying on the entire outfit. It is also considered unlucky for the groom to see the wedding attire before the actual wedding ceremony.

    Types

    • Silk is considered the best fabric for good luck for a wedding dress. Satin material is considered bad luck and should not be used. Velvet material is connected to future poverty. It is considered bad luck if the wedding dress fabric has a pattern. Vines and birds within a fabric pattern are considered especially bad luck. The wedding dress should never be red ("Marry in red and you'll wish you were dead") and if there happens to be an accident where blood stains get on the wedding dress fabric, this is considered a very bad omen. Wedding dresses should be white, cream or ivory colored for good luck and a happy life.

How to create a wedding budget checklist

create a wedding budget checklist

It's interesting:
"I can’t imagine a happier way to start married life than in this wonderful venue with all their family and friends around them. Ok, so I can – but it would have to be an exceptionally big Jacuzzi."

A good wedding budget checklist isn't just a way to stay within your budget, but it is also a reminder of each task that needs to be done. One well-organized checklist can mean the difference between a wedding day that costs too much and one that is smooth sailing and within your budget.

Things You'll Need

  • Total wedding budget

Instructions

  1. Apportion Correctly

    • 1

Plan to spend about half of your wedding budget on the reception. Yes, it's a big chunk of change, but feeding a crowd of people, not to mention hall rental, entertainment, wine and champagne, will always amount to a lot.

    • 2

Earmark about 10 percent of the budget for clothing for the bridal party. Tuxedos, the bride's dress and the bridesmaids' gowns shouldn't take up much more of the budget than this, unless you are willing to compromise elsewhere.

    • 3

Prepare to spend 10 percent on photographs and 10 percent on flowers. Of course, if you have a family member take photos and if you choose to buy flowers wholesale and prepare them yourself, you'll have more to spend on what really matters to you.

    Organize Your Checklist

    • 4

Create a checklist by hand or with a spreadsheet program. There are even online templates, at sites like TheKnot.com, that will allow you to fill in information and create a checklist with little effort (see Resources below).

    • 5

Leave extra rows and columns on the checklist. The rows are for items you've forgotten to include, and the columns are for issues you'll think of later. For instance, you can use one column to check off vendors who have already been paid and another to write down the date of the next required action on that item.

    • 6

Divide the checklist into categories, from decorations to food to venue. Have different categories for women's wear and men's wear, since tuxedo rentals can be reserved once for the big day while dresses need to be fitted and re-fitted.

Tips &- Warnings

  • If you choose to create a spreadsheet on your computer, make sure you print it out and carry it with you, so that you can make notes when you have an idea and adjust prices as you are out and about meeting with vendors. Then, every evening, key the changes into the computer and print out an updated version. Yes, it's a lot of work, but a bit of organization at this stage prevents major headaches later.

    • 3

Wrap the base of the cake with the ribbon, with the backed side facing the cake. Do this a few inches at a time, smoothing it down as you go.

    • 4

Use a small dab of buttercream icing at the seam as glue to hold the ribbon in place.

Tips &- Warnings

  • If you have chosen a ribbon that is not double-sided, first attach wax paper to the back of the ribbon by adhering double-sided tape to the ribbon. Trim the wax paper so that it doesn't show from the front. This backing will keep the ribbon from looking greasy.

Traditional wedding gifts from the mother of the groom

Traditional wedding gifts from the mother of the groom

It's interesting:
"Tradition decrees that the best man responds to the toast to the bridesmaids and I am happy to be asked to do so. Like everything else about this wedding they were perfection itself."

While the mother of the groom traditionally does not have a large role to play in planning the wedding, she is still an important figure to her son and his fiancee. When shopping for a gift to give your engaged son, choose something special and meaningful to the couple.

  1. Heirloom

    • Give your son and his bride an heirloom to celebrate their wedding. For example, if you have a piece of jewelry your family has passed down through the generations, give it to your your son's fiancee. Another idea is to give the couple a piece of antique furniture that has been important to your family or another object, such as a serving platter.

    China

    • Most couples register for fine china when they plan to get married. When considering what to purchase for your son and his new bride, think about purchasing a place setting or two of their china. This is a traditional gift from the groom's family and can help them complete their china settings. You could also give them a casual set of china or a set made for use during the holidays.

    Wedding Day

    • The mother of the groom traditionally chooses a gift just for the bride. Consider selecting something that helps her complete the traditional "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" she is supposed to wear on her wedding day. For example, if she does not yet have her "something old," give her an antique handkerchief or a vintage hair clasp you own.

    Honeymoon

    • Another idea for a gift from the mother of the groom is something that the couple can use on their honeymoon. For example, arrange for them to have a helicopter ride over the city or the beach where they plan to honeymoon. A gift card for a lavish dinner at a local restaurant at their honeymoon destination is another idea.

How to make a bun hairstyle with thin hair

make a bun hairstyle with thin hair

It's interesting:
"I'd like to talk about Paul's greatest achievement, which happened today, and that was keeping his suit jacket on throughout the ceremony and resisting what must have been an intense desire to turn up in shorts today. But despite the heat and discomfort, it’s been well worth the effort, for amongst other things, the wet patch down the length of his left leg can be passed off as sweat."

The bun is an elegant up-do for weddings, parties and special occasions. However, it’-s easy enough to do for casual occasions, as well. Thin hair is often difficult to style, because it is prone to flyaways and it doesn’-t have natural volume. This style is good for thin hair, because the rolls of hair create extra volume and the pins hold the hair in place.

Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • Comb
  • Elastic band
  • Hair wax
  • Bobby pins
  • Hairspray

Instructions

    • 1

Start with wet hair and comb it to remove all tangles. In a pinch, you can spray the hair and comb it to dampen it, but thin hair will stay in place more easily if it is completely wet when you begin.

    • 2

Comb the hair back into a ponytail positioned behind one ear and secure it with an elastic band.

    • 3

Split the ponytail into five sections. It should look like a star, with one section at the top, two on the side and two at the bottom.

    • 4

Dip your fingers in hair wax and smooth it on the top section of hair.

    • 5

Begin at the end and roll the hair toward to the top of the ponytail around your fingers. Roll it in the direction away from the ponytail.

    • 6

Secure the roll to the head with small bobby pins when you reach the ponytail holder. Use at least two bobby pins, one on either side of the roll. Depending on how thin the hair is, you may need to use more to keep it in place. Spray the roll liberally with hairspray.

    • 7

Repeat with the other four sections of hair.

    • 8

Pin any small hairs or locks of hair that may have escaped. Spray the whole bun liberally with hairspray.

Tips &- Warnings

  • Since the bun is positioned on one side of the head, you can add embellishments such as bows or flowers behind your ear in front of the bun.

It's interesting:
"The happy couple have picked a beautiful sunny day to get married. It’s perhaps a little too hot for me in this suit though, but at least I now know how Chewbacca felt filming those desert scenes."

Marquis Crystal is a line of crystal stemware manufactured by the Waterford Crystal Company in plants in Waterford, Ireland, and also in Germany and Slovenia. In addition to the Marquis line of stemware, Waterford produces china, linens, flatware, silver gifts, writing instruments, holiday ornaments and jewelry.

Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Introduction

    • The Marquis line was introduced in 1991, the first new line in the company's history. The stemware was designed to meet modern lifestyle demands, including a simple style that is suitable for multiple dinnerware sets, both formal and casual.

    Price

    • Marquis Crystal is classified by Waterford as entry-level fine crystal stemware. While traditional Waterford Crystal is hand-cut, lead crystal, Marquis is cut by machine and polished by hand, allowing lower price points than the traditional Waterford dinner stemware lines.

How to plan a beautiful romantic evening for couples in pittsburgh pennsylvania

plan a beautiful, romantic evening for couples in pittsburgh, pennsylvania

It's interesting:
"Tom looks great on his wedding day doesn't he? I won't say it's funny to see ... Congratulations to Tom and Susan on their wedding. And since it's election week ..."

With its three converging rivers, rolling hills and mountaintop views, Pittsburgh, Pa. is home to many romantic spots. A beautiful and romantic evening in this historic city may take many forms, including a night of theater in the cultural district or a view of downtown from the top of Mount Washington. It's up to you, then, to plan what will be a night to remember for you and your partner -- Pittsburgh has the potential for virtually any type of couple to enjoy a romantic evening out.

Instructions

    • 1

Decide on the type of evening you want to have and the budget with which you are working. For example, you and your partner may find it romantic to dress up and enjoy dinner downtown before dropping in to a concert at Heinz Hall -- or, you may prefer to sample the ethnic wares of a historic family restaurant in Bloomfield before taking in a poetry reading in Lawrenceville.

    • 2

Choose a restaurant with your partner. Skip the corporate chain restaurants -- Pittsburgh is a hub of different ethnicities, giving you and your partner the opportunity to enjoy authentic Italian, Polish, German, Thai or American cuisine. Deciding on a neighborhood first helps -- if you want to eat atop Mount Washington, for example, your options are more limited than in the Strip District.

    • 3

Plan a post-dinner excursion to enjoy as a couple -- again, base this off of both the neighborhood to which you are going and the type of things you enjoy doing together. A warm summer night at a Pirates game in PNC Park downtown may be just as romantic to some people as a visit to Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Oakland.

    • 4

Purchase your tickets ahead of time and make dinner reservations at least four days in advance.

Civil wedding ceremony ideas

Civil wedding ceremony ideas

It's interesting:
"Paul is caring, he's generous, he's sensitive… in fact I don't even know him anymore. Linda has changed my best friend. Actually, I should thank you Linda. You've done in 18 months what I couldn't do in 18 years."

Many couples choose to forgo the elaborate church wedding and have a civil ceremony instead. There are many reasons for this, such as speed, cost-effectiveness and flexibility. This type of wedding ceremony isn't just for non-religious couples---it is also appropriate for couples who want to include personal touches, such as music, vows and readings, that may not be acceptable in a church ceremony. If this is the route for you, there are many ways to plan a civil wedding ceremony.

  1. Officiants

    • Many different people can legally officiate your civil wedding ceremony, depending on where you plan to marry. Check with the local municipal county clerk or marriage license bureau to find out the specific laws and policies regarding the officiant. Those typically authorized to perform this type of ceremony are chaplains, county clerks, justices of the peace, mayors, judges, town council members and notaries public. Religious leaders, such as ministers, priests and rabbis, can also perform the ceremony outside of the standard place of worship. Some people ask their friends to become ordained online in order to marry them.

    Location

    • Your civil ceremony can take place in a wide variety of locations, which include city hall, a courthouse, and even a chapel in Las Vegas. Some couples choose to have their civil ceremonies performed in reception halls, hotels and country club clubhouses. Others prefer an intimate setting such as their home or backyard. Most destination weddings are civil ceremonies that take place in exotic locations, such as at beach, desert or mountain settings.

    Vows

    • The standard civil wedding ceremony typically includes several elements, including opening words, consent, vows, ring exchange and closing words. The usual vows are typically comprised of, "______, do you take ______ as your lawfully wedded wife/husband?" There are many versions of these phrases, but you can also write your own personalized vows. Some couples incorporate poems and other readings in their vows. Others simply speak from the heart in the moment. You can choose whatever type of vow you want, but just be sure to let the officiant know beforehand.

    Symbolic Acts

    • While most civil ceremonies typically eliminate many traditional wedding rituals, such as the ring bearer, processional and religious readings or prayers, many incorporate other types of symbolic acts. Consider adding a candle or rose ritual to yours. The candle ceremony consists of the bride and groom carrying two separate candles and then lighting a unity candle together. The candle signifies that their lives are now joined together. The rose ceremony involves the newly married couple exchanging single rosebuds. The rose exchange symbolizes the couple giving each other the gift of true love.

Spring tea party ideas

Spring tea party ideas

It's interesting:
"The happy couple have picked a beautiful sunny day to get married. It’s perhaps a little too hot for me in this suit though, but at least I now know how Chewbacca felt filming those desert scenes."

Spring, with its vitality and new blooms erupting from the winter sleep, provides a beautiful backdrop for a tea party. When the weather warms, and you long to feel the sun on your face, plan a tea party in the garden. Springtime offers so many opportunities for creative tea parties. Celebrate Mother's Day, enjoy a romantic interlude or welcome spring itself with a tea party created for the occasion. Add touches to complement the theme, such as food, decorations and music to create a complete spring tea experience.

Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Rites of Spring Tea

    • Serve tea to celebrate Earth Day.

The EarthSpirit Community, an organization focused on the preservation and development of spirituality, culture and community, has an event called Rites of Spring every year. It's a week of workshops, rituals and performances. Consider having your own earth-friendly rite of spring. Invite people you know to an afternoon of earth-friendly conviviality.

Send invitations made from recycled paper. Ask guests to bring their invitations to the party. Collect the cards and recycle them. Set up tables in a garden or gather at picnic tables in a park. Use bamboo place mats and cloth napkins. Hang wind chimes in a tree to tinkle in the spring breeze. Serve Fair Trade tea with organic, local raw honey and organic lemons. Serve vegetarian refreshments, such as traditional cucumber sandwiches with herbed goat cheese, hummus pita sandwiches and organic cranberry and orange scones. Ask guests to make an effort to recycle more, buy locally and walk instead of drive when possible. Schedule your event to coincide with Earth Day, which falls on April 22 every year.

    Mother's Day Tea

    • Motehr's Day is a good day for a tea party.

Mother's Day and spring present a happy opportunity to have a mother-daughter tea. Invite mothers and daughters of any age. Have your tea party indoors or outside in a backyard or garden. Place a single white rose in full bloom at every mom's place setting and a pink rose bud at every daughter's place. The website Teas2Dine4.com suggests sending an herbal teabag in an attractive wrapper with each invitation. Ask guests to wear floral dresses, hats and gloves. Decorate the table with multicolored carnations floating in clear glass or crystal bowls of water. Play chamber music softly in the background. Use your good china and silverware. Serve sparkling water in crystal stemware, along with tea. Arrange finger sandwiches, quiche slices, fresh fruit cups and pastel-frosted tea cakes on a buffet table. Teas2Dine4.com suggests playing games, such as Mother-Daughter Trivia. See who knows whom the best. Give each table a disposable camera to capture the day.

    Romantic Tea

    • Spring might be the best season for romance when the world, like you two, is in full bloom and feeling the blush of love. Put a spin on the overtly feminine aspects of a tea party so that it appeals to your guy. Send him a hand-written invitation to a midnight tea. Decorate the table with two red roses, representing the two of you together, in a cut glass vase. Create a playlist of your favorite romantic music in the background. Musical suggestions might include Kenny G, Sade, Roxy Music and Michael Buble. Set the table with candles, dessert plates and forks, tea cups and brandy snifters.Cut into a decadent Mississippi mud pie and serve it with chai tea. Toast each other with brandy in the candlelight.
